Hello, my name is nancy and I am new to this message board but am curious especially about Decleor. I was wondering if any of you have eczema and if so, which products do you like to use to help inflammation? my problem is mostly that it is incredibly red and itchy at night and nothing i have tried soothes it at any time of the day. eczema has changed the texture of my skin so that it is rough and sometimes so parched and scaly (and sadly, kind of weepy too due to so much scratching). any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I have never used Decleor before or any of the lines on this website.

thank you in advance! this seems like such a lovely web community.

Welcome to the forum, nancyxo.

I've only had a few encounters with eczema, but I'll tell you of my experiences in case it might help.

My first baby developed an awful case at two months old. The pediatrician mixed the drug "Triamcinalone" in a bottle of Lubriderm lotion, and it helped tremendously. I didn't want him to be on this steroid forever, so I went looking for the cause. It turns out he was allergic to dairy products. I switched him to soy formula and the eczema went away for 10 years.

At age 10, I put a wool blanket on his bed...eczema appeared...Triamcinalone to the rescue...switched to cotton blanket...end of story.

I myself have acquired nasty cases of eczema on several occasions and found relief with Triamcinalone. Each time, I made a careful analysis of my diet, toiletries, laundry detergent, etc.
I discovered I'm allergic to to pure maple syrup, walnuts, and assorted medicinal herbs. As long as I stay away from those things, no eczema.

I don't know if you've already tried an elimination diet, but many people find their eczema is caused by either wheat, eggs, corn, nuts, strawberries or dairy products.

Hope this helps!

Hi nancyxo,

Just to add to alohagirl's suggestions, I too experience eczema occasionally. I find that a flare up usually occurs when I'm rundown (hence immune system is low) and when my skin is dried out (in the winter by taking hot showers). My eczema is mostly on my limbs and body. In these instances, I've just used a heavier moisturiser called NutriOil by Nutrimetics. It's natural apricot oil which works very well for me.

However, my baby recently began to experience eczema flare-ups. I did use the Decleor Essential Balm on him and it helped tremendously. I have just begun using Decleor myself but because I don't experience eczema on the face, the skincare I'm using may not be suitable for you. Perhaps you could email one of the aestheticians at EDS and ask for some advice (I received very helpful suggestions on possible skincare to try)? Alternatively, you could request for some samples of Decleor products from the sensitive skin range to try out.

I hope you will be able to find some products that work well for you.

Smile kazk
