I love this forum and have used it as a reference to create a skin care regime that has my skin looking better now (age 31) then it did in my twenties! I am calling on all of you skin-care gurus out there for advice on a slightly different matter:

My daughter has chicken pox (5th day today) and has a couple of marks on her face. Do you know of anything that would help prevent scarring? I am using vitamin e oil but would like to know if there is anything more advanced.

Thank you!

Some vitamin supplements would help boost her system, fight off the chicken pox and aid her skin in healing.
Zinc, Vitamin C and a multi vitamin should help.

I am sure you already know the worst thing she can do is pick any spots or scars, make sure her mind is occupied with something else.
An antihistamine may be a good idea to take away the itching...I remember having chicken pox, I was literally covereg from head to toe and the itching was unbearable, I also picked at them and still bear the scars.
As for skincare, a mild cleanser (is it Cetiphal that is popular for sensitive skins) and a nice soothing cream.

I hope she gets better soon.

Definitely don't scratch! Try calomine lotion to soothe the itching.

I use Tea Tree oil on cuts, abrasions, acne to clear them up faster. I'm not sure about chicken pox scars though. If you have time, look it up, it may be okay to use!
