Hello,
I made a trip to target last night to pick up a few things for my trip to Grand Caymen this weekend and I stumbled across Neutrogena Mineral Sheer Powder Foundation. I thought it would be a great way to easily do my makeup while on vacation so I purchased! I used it this morning and I am really impressed with it. I used my Juice Beauty Moisturizer with tint and then dusted this powder on my face and that was all I needed. The coverage is great and it looks really natural. I'm going to go so far as to say I like it more that BE!

-Great Coverage
-Dosent look fake or sit on top of your skin
-Easy to apply (no swirl and tap)
-Not a rave because I'm worried about how I would keep the brush clean.

FYI: I also bought the Skin Soothing under eye corrector in soft light and it is fantastic too!

I'm wondering if this is similar to the Cover Girl true blend powder I use. I know it has some minerals in it, but I don't think it is marketed that way.

Anyway, I really wanted to jump in because I LOVE Grand Cayman and have been there twice. If you are planning to do any snorkeling/sting ray island and need a recommendation for a tour guide, then PM me b/c I have an awesome one that I've used twice. Not only is the boat pretty much private (both times I've been it has been the four of us and one other couple), but it's really inexpensive too - $25 last time I went. Whatever you decide to do you'll have a blast. It's such a beautiful island!

I hate that Neutrogena Mineral Sheer Powder Foundation. I can't tell I'm wearing it, which would be great if I didn't waste a couple minutes fluffing it over my face to find myself looking exactly the same as I did before. I know it's supposed to be sheer, and it's so sheer that it does absolutely nothing.

Sad!!!

Ditto all your comments. I disliked it too and returned it. The packaging was terrible too.

Olivia, or anyone who uses this, I was thinking of getting this to stick in my purse (BE is terribly un-portable). Does it build up if you apply it throughout the day?

I havent tried applying it throughout the day so I'm not sure how buildable it is. I use a tinted moisturizer and then apply concealer to my problem areas and THEN apply the minerals so maybe that is why I like the coverage. It is kinda hard to control the amount of powder that comes out so I find myself going over my face again with my BE kabuki brush to even everything out!

TAMGirl99. I am going to PM you b/c i'm looking for some recommendations for Grand Caymen. I leave tomorrow!!! I cant wait!

Olivia, how fair are you? I want to try this product but I'm afraid it will be too dark for this pale girl...

I went out and bought this sheer mineral powder...I don't hate it or love it.
Yes, the coverage is very minimal. It really is not the type of product that you can do a couple coats for better coverage. I have found it to be hard to dispense and a pain in the neck. With all that said, I still use it. I put it in my purse for easy use. Brush already attached, I use it for shine more than anything else. I wonder if they would consider changing the packaging, now that they are doing mineral products?

Hello!
I am normally VERY pale but I bought it for my vacation so I knew I would be getting some color. I bought buff I believe. I use it over my tinted moisturizer and I love the coverage....it didnt feel to heavy like BE does sometimes.
