As I mentioned in another thread, I'm on microderm #4 of a 6-microderm set. In addition, I use Retin A .025 almost nightly. But after this 4th microderm, my skin has been SERIOUSLY robbed of moisture.

I've cut the Retin A out for the time being, and I'm just trying to do everything I can to moisturize. I've been using mainly oxygen cream and aloe...but so far no good! My skin feels leathery when I touch it, where it used to feel soft.

Does anyone know of any surefire ways to infuse my skin with a TON of moisture? I'm thinking some sort of mask or...I don't know!

Conditions:
1. I need to purchase this at a drugstore
2. It can't promote acne (I'm acne prone)

There's a mask by Got2Be called Mo'Moisture. It's a honey/milk mask. It's tacky and doesn't dry, and is easy to wash off. It makes my skin pretty plump.

The only drugstore moisturizers worth anything, I think, are by Dove. I'm acne prone and I've used both the day lotion with green tea and the sensitive skin formula.

My mom swears by St. Ives collagen elastin-- it's almost like a cold cream but she says it does wonders for her skin.

Aveeno is extremely good for skin in need of moisture and available at most drugstores and supermarkets.

Hi! I've been in the same situation before! I have very sensitive, acne-prone skin, and if I over-do it my skin will get really dry, scaly, etc. Unfortunately, none of the products I've found that really work can be found in the drugstore, but I figured I'd list em here just in case:
Beauty Without Cruelty Hydrating Facial Mask
Beauty Without Cruelty Maximum Moisture Cream
Beauty Without Cruelty Herbal Cream Cleanser
Camellia Oil (I use the one from chidoriyaworld.com, but you can get it other places too.)
The Body Shop Vitamin E face mist (This one is nice because you can use it thorough the day)
Badger Balm

HTH!! Sorry I couldn't name things that are easier to get ahold of!

In the Band Aid aisle of your drug store is a product called, "Spenco Second Skin Quick Heal" it's a clear gel about $9. This product has a high amount of Hyalauranic (sp?) Acid, the best moisturizer out there and I doubt there's anything else in it that would bother your now delicate skin. Get a jar of Vaseline petroleum jelly.

In a sink or large bowl of water (with just a wee drop of liquid dish soap) soak a wash cloth then apply it to your face. Do this several times. Pat your face dry. (but only pat)

Mix the Vaseline and Spenco in the palm of your hand (a little goes a long way) and apply it to your face.

You can sleep with this on your face or clean the house. I don't go outside Laughing If you do this during the day, you may want to repeat it several times.

The Cetaphil lotion in the big pump jar. It feels like thick water when you put it on but give it a sec and your skin will be so moist you'll think you're sweating. Fragrance free and has never made me break out.

Bridget, I do not know of anything in a drugstore that can help.

Have you checked out the DIY (Do It Yourself) thread?

Oh, also check and see if your drug store has Squalane... Maybe more likely to find it at a health food store, if you can find it locally.

I like Derma-E hyaluronic acid cream at night and Astara anti-oxidant infusion, day and night (it helps product penetrate better and has a host of botanical ingredients).

I'm really loving PSF's Hyaluronic Acid Serum. You put it over moisturiser and sunscreen and it plumps and firms.
