Hi! My skin is medium/tan and I was almost blemish-free until finals week rolled around. I went about 5 days with only a handful of sleep and too much caffeine/etc.. which led to a HUGE outbreak on my skin. When I went to sephora, I picked up JB Blemish Clearing Serum before I read about it on this forum. Although I'm not sure if my acne was due to stress, hormones, or what.. but all my pimples dried up and no new blemishes came up. The serum does dry a bit sticky but it doesn't bother me esp if I put moisturizer on. I think I may be overusing the product a bit (more than twice daily touchups) but no peeling/drying has occurred. Also, the large size makes up for the hefty price!!
Now I have to figure out what to do with all the marks left behind by the pimples. Ideally, I would like to have my skin looking better within the next few days because of upcoming important events and I'm desperate for annyything. I was thinking about trying the JB Antioxidant Serum or the Green Apple Peel. I was wondering which one you guys thought might speed up the healing process and be more effective in fading the scars. If there are other product suggestions, please tell! Thanks!! |

Do you mean the red marks left behind after your pimples clear? If so there is really nothing that will fade them in a few days. I have these and have found that the glycolic acid peels that I get at my dermatologists help but even with strong peels it takes months. I have pale skin so I think that makes a difference, so since you have medium skin then it would probably take less time for yours to fade.
Since professional peels have helped me, maybe the Green Apple peel would help you somewhat. I have never tried any of the JB stuff though so I can't really give a definite recommendation. |

HI monappetit! Well, I've never tried the JB Antioxident serum, however, I've heard good things about it, so I certainly don't think it could hurt, and it very well could help speed up the healing process. Like Theresa said, nothing is going to fade the red marks in just a few days, but there are lots of good products out there that can help fade them over the course of a few weeks/months, depending on how deep they are. Some of the products I like to use for helping fade my scars and heal my skin are: aspirin mask, Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Cream, Chidoriya Camellia Oil, and Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel. I've also heard that the Dr. Hauschka Rejuvenating Mask helps fade scars, so it's definitely on my list of products to try!^-^ |

Dr. Hauschka Rejuvenating Mask helps fade scars? I got a sample with my last order and now it's time to use it. Liz, you're always full of useful information.
I second the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel. I've used the Peel over the past month and a couple of my scars are almost completely gone. Now I just have to be patient with the more stubborn ones. |
