Hi All,
I am just over 47 yrs old. Skin pretty good condition except I am getting the bumps that look like pimples but they are called I am told papillea (I don't know the spelling), which I guess is trapped pimple but with hard skin over top? When I get a facial the only thing that the ladies tell me that I can do is have a dermatologist remove them. Is this the only way - I have around four that bother me (no one else probably notices but I do). Is there anyone else that gets these and has had success with any topical creams/serums etc.? Also I am totally out of all my Mary Kay products (use to sell them but got out of that mess) as I had tons of inventory left over. It was okay, but not great. I am in the market for some other products, and have decided to give a try with the Pure Skin Formulations or Dr. H. Can someone suggest eye creams/gels that they like. I have never had acne, I do get dark circles and some puffiness (lack of sleep due to that lovely pre-menopause stuff going on). I'm not wrinkling too bad, just want a good eye gel or cream. Also for skin as young as mine  is the PSF or Dr. H a better bet for antiaging benefits? Thanks so much for your input.

| This is my problem too. My beautician said it is not easy to remove, even she helped me to extract them but they will keep coming back. Have you heard that eye cream with BHA can help a bit? Also, don't apply your moisturizer too close to your eye contour. Of course, the most effective way should be removed by the dermatologist. |

| I have those around the eyes too. I got a few of them removed by laser by my beautician. They did not resurface |

I know these as millia, but I'm not sure what other terms they are known by. I tend to get them only when using eye creams that are too rich for me. What I have found to be effective are products with AHA used as a spot treatment directly over the area. I have a MD Formulations Vit-a-plus eye cream that I use specifically for this purpose as it's too drying for me to use normally. Over a few days the cream softens and exfoliates away the skin on top making it easy to very gently squeeze it out.
In order to avoid them I'd suggest you go for lighter eye products or potentially an eye cream with AHA if it's an ongoing problem.
Also, if you do a search here for "millia" you should be able to find a lot more advice  |

| Mabsy - When you used MD Formulations Vit-a-plus, did the area become dry, flaky or red before you could squeeze them out? The areas of skin that look like chicken skin, are those milia? TIA! |

No I don't think so, but I only use it for a few days and then stop. I am sure this would happen if I continued to use it as I do find it very drying.
I'm not sure if the rough "chicken skin" is also millia. I did used to get that sometimes but if you just use very gentle exfoliation and a nice cream on top it seems to clear up quickly. |
