hi! I am in week 6 of RAM and still peely and purgy. I hate that it's so hard to tell if I am purging or if something else in my routine is breaking me out. I have been alternating s/s...I either use Eucerin SPF 15 or MD Formulations Total Protector 30; I have tinted and regular. I wore 15 the other day, was in the shade and had on giant shades, and today my skin is hot. I am not red, but could I have gotten burned??? Ah! I don't want to damage my skin...
Please share your RAM .04% experiences...when you cleared up, etc. I also use Triaz wash in the AM and have had good luck with La Vitton cleansing oil and face oil. My makeup is simple...either PF mineral pressed or just Almay Amazing lasting. |

Retin A makes my skin so pale! So yes, make sure you use a high chemical sunscreen if you can stand it (I like avobenzeen, the one from Avenno because the protection lasts all day). If you find your too sensitive then just use a physical one like Neutrogena for sensitive skin and prepair to look awfull in pictures since the titanium dioxide reflects a white cast. |

It's interesting that you say that, because a couple weeks ago I started a thread called "TOO damn pale!" or something like that because I was walking around looking like an anemic corpse. I never thought of Retin A as being the culprit, but come to think of it, my very bad paleness started right after I started using the .25 Retin A almost nightly.
Does Retin A itself actually cause paleness, do you think, or is it just that when you're using it you have to be so careful in avoiding the sun at all times?
Whatever it is, I'm not a fan. |
