I have been wanting to try the Fancl Washing Powder and Cleansing Oil for a long time now. Your post just reminded me of this brand and I just sent Fancl an email with some questions. I am thinking of ordering the Fenatty starter set and Cleansing Oil, so I would be interested to see if anyone has experience with this stuff.

This line seems similar to DHC in the sort of products it offers. I tried signing up for a catalog and samples and both were unavailable. Sad I didn't see ingredient lists for any products, or did I just miss it?

This reminds me of the Rosa y Fruta face powder without the long chemical ingredients.

Most of the cleansing agents in there just look like powdered versions of SLS, and I am not sure what effect corn starch has for cleansing.. I have heard it does have a tightening effect on the skin though.

Off topic, joziegrozy I just realized your name. It's from the movie, "Never been kissed", right? Smile

Just looked at the ingredients posted.
What is Soap Based Contained Potassium Salt of Fatty Acid (E)? Is this a soap? Would it make the product alkaline?

I liked that movie a lot. At first I thought that your name was from the Wedding Singer but then I remember that her name in that was Julia Goolia. Same actress just different names. Both movies were great. Smile

Sorry to change the thread topic.

I tried the washing powder together with the "scrub" that is suppose to help exfoliate... Personally, I feel it's a really clean wash, but face feels a little tight after wash.

Theresa, I did't use the actualy Rosa y Fruta powder because when i saw the ingredients, I felt it was relatively easy enough to make my own.

I made a batch with organic oat powder, replaced the Cranberry in the original with Bilbery, and used some Calaguala herb powder instead of Arurata. And skipped the essential oils altogether.

I use it as a bi-weekly treatment rather than daily cleanser because I have oily skin and prefer to use something with more oil to help balance my skin. I mix with honey plus various hydrosols. The end results is a really luxurious mask which gives me a much needed boost in hydration and makes my skin really supple. I don't like to rub anything in because oat+honey already have exfoliating properties.

HTH

(ps. I just find the idea of a face wash powder that has to be mixed fresh every time to be soooooo decadent and indulging Very Happy)

I tried a lot of FANCL products, the one I like the most is their Blackhead mud mask targeted for the T-zone area.

The face wash powder is a lot like the one from HABA, very gentle but will still need deep cleansing often.

But in my opinion, the powder itself is great for traveling !

joziegrozy are these ingredients for the washing powder or the washing powder light? When Fancl responded to my email they gave the following as the ingredients for the washing powder:

FANCL Cleansing Powder ( Washing Powder )Ingredients: MANNITOL, SODIUM PALMOYL GLUTAMATE, GLUCOSE, POTASSIUM MYRISTOYL GLUTAMATE, ZEA MAYS(CORN) STARCH, SODIUM COCOYL ISETHIONATE, SODIUM STEAROYL GLUTAMATE, PULLULAN, SODIUM LAUROYL ASPARTATE, POTASSIUM MYRISTATE, HYDROXYPROPYL METHYLCELLULOSE, SERINE, ALLANTOIN, DEXTRAN HYDROXYPROPYLTRIMONIUM CHLORIDE, Net Content: 13g / 0.45 oz.

miranets your stuff does sound decadent but I think that I would drive my husband nuts mixing up my own stuff. Laughing He thinks I spend enough time already with all my pre-made lotions and potions.

Natning what is the "scrub" you are referring to, I did not see it on the website?

pinkmelody do you think a cleansing oil plus the wash powder plus using Kanebo Silk Peeling 2 times a week would do a good job of cleansing? I have oily skin but it is very sensitive so I always try to find gentle but effective cleansers.

BTW I have ingredient lists for the Fancl Cleansing Oil and the Fancl Fenatty lotions and milky lotions. If anyone is interested let me know what you want to see and I will post it!

joziegrozy there is a website that sells Fancl among other things and they give the Fancl washing powder good reviews. Here's a link:

http://www.beautykat.com/Product/Fancl/3427-11.htm

I am thinking of just getting the Fenatty starter set from the Fancl website and giving it a try. I think that the Fancl Wash Powder Light is more drying so I am going to try the regular Fancl Wash Powder. I might order the cleansing oil also, the beautykat website gives the cleansing oil good reviews too. The starter set is inexpensive enough to give it a try!

BTW I have never ordered from the beautykat website so I cannot give any recommendations about them.
