Last week I had my dental checkup. It has been four years since I bleached my teeth. While my tooth color is OK, they are not as bright. My dental hygienist recommended Xantia System. It is recommended that you brush this on your teeth twice a day. After brushing on you smile or keep your mouth open for 30 seconds (I do a minute) until the Xantia dries. No food or drink for 1/2 hour. The directions say to use it twice a day for two weeks for a white, bright smile. After two day I can see the difference. I only use it once a day at bedtime. Compared to the other bleaching system I have used, I really like the convenience of this and have NO gum/tooth sensitivity. I also like the idea of not having to wear bleaching trays.
I just did a web search and it advertised as a professional product only to be purchased though your dentist. I paid $45.00 for it. You might know I did find a site on the WWW that sells it for $25.00. http://www.edentalstuff.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=101
This product is also recommended to remove coffee and tobacco stain. IMO the best time to bleach your teeth is after a professional cleaning (best and quickest results).
Ingredients list from my box: Alcohol, prophylene glycol, water, carbamide peroxide, hydroxypropyl, cellulose, glycerin, citric acid, edetate calcium disodium
