ok, I think I've finally came to terms with my bare minerals and feel comfortable using it but I looked down on my bathroom vanity and noticed that I have powder remnants from tapping my minerals on the lid. Apprently It blows everywhere.

What do you recommend to stop this from happening on my vanity and on the lids itself? Thanks girls.

Hi DebbieN.

A lot of ladies use a "rice bowl" when applying their loose minerals. These are usually made of unbreakable melamine (like a hard plastic) and they are the perfect size and shape for rubbing the powder deep into your brush without making a mess.

(If anyone is not sure what a rice bowl is, Japanese restaurants use them to serve rice balls and Miso soup. They are cheap and easy to find at Asian markets and import stores.)

Hey Alohagirl !

That is such a good tip ! I'm going to remember to devote one of my rice bowls to that task when I get my BE minerals later on ! Very HappyVery Happy

Hi DebbieN, to keep the sink foundation or powder free I usually just pop a towel over it, that way the makeup lands on a washable towel and you don't end up with any wet marks on your clothes from leaning against the edge of the sink ! :P

Hi DebbieN...perhaps you are using too much of the minerals. Try using just a little less next time and see if that works.Wink

That's a great tip Alohagirl!!! It would be so much easier to swirl them into the brush instead of swirling the brush in the little lid! I'm going to dig out my miso soup bowl this afternoon! Oh, how I love this forum and the people on it! Smile

At the moment I actually move over to my shower to tap the brush and then move back to the mirror to apply it. It still gets messy though.
