A few days ago I broke down and decided to go ahead and try this peel. I found it online for $4.75 for the regular version. I know there is a risk of products being 'old' or whatever when not using mainstream sites, but I really wanted to try it and I'm cheap! So I bought 2 (they are each the .25 oz size...it actually works , out to be about the same price/oz as the full size if you buy the samples) Anyway. The shipping was flat rate $5.95, that's why I bought 2.

I was thrilled with the results, wished I had tried it sooner, etc. Just like everyone said. I have tried other peels/exfoliating masks but I seriously doubt I would ever try another one besides this from now on, after the results I got. I have tried PSF pumpkin, one from alba botanical, Mayonaisse mask, Aspirin mask, Carekate's supersonic version of the Aspirin mask (the best, in my experience, of the aforementioned group), etc etc.

I feel like I am just reiterating all the things I have read about the peel but in my case, they were all true. I have been disappointed so many times before by other products. I decided to be very skeptical with this one so I wouldn't "imagine" results. Well, I didn't have to imagine them, I actually got them!

I don't know why this doesn't work for some people. I wish it did! I use other methods of exfoliation (retinoids, SA, GA, manual, electronic facebrush) so it wasn't as if I had a bunch of dead skin just sitting on my face. I really wish it did work the same way for everyone that tried it. Sad

I don't know if this contributed to it or not, but I gently washed my face first and used my dermwand for a couple of minutes, then took a warm shower, then used the peel for 12 minutes. I used Burts Bees Orange Cleanser to remove the peel and dead skin afterward. I followed this with a hot facecloth. I could already tell a difference right afterward, but this morning it was even better. Smile I am so happy!

I put the remainder of the peel and the unopened one in my refrigerator to keep them fresh.

I hope the low price of this sample size helps anyone who is still on the fence about this to just go ahead and try it.

And, if you have sensitive skin, they do have a sensitive peel and of course a warm shower beforehand might not be a good idea. Unfortunately I have heard/read about people not having as good of results from the sensitive peel.

I really want to try this. I keep wondering how I'm going to pay for all of the items I want to try, and I just realized our car is going to be paid off soon! Ooooh! money!

I simply could not convince myself to spend the $40 on the regular size jar...however I have now calculated that I should get about 4 uses out of each sample jar...which works out to be only about $6 dollars a month to add the peel to my routine (it is supposed to be used 1x per week). To me, it is definitely worth it! That is how I justified the cost. Embarassed

I also had realized I did not mention the website I placed my order at. It is spafeatures.com They also sent me a free trial of some organic sunscreen with my order (I have not tried it yet).

Olyn, it's definitely worth it to get the regular sized jar. A little goes a long way. I paid $63.25 CAD (including taxes) for mine but it was so worth it. I got my jar from Sephora before EDS started carrying it. My next jar would definitely be from EDS. Smile

Yen-
I know, I know...it just seems like so much! Now that I know how effective the peel is, I can't imagine that I will ever run out without repurchasing (or hopefully, having enough foresight to purchase Before I run out). How long does one jar last you?

Olyn, I'm still on my first jar and it's been 1 1/2 months. That jar still looks pretty full (about 75% full). I'll order another jar when it hits around 25%. I can't be without it. Laughing

Hi BCgirl, I'm living in Vancouver and would like to try out the JB Green Apple Peel. Do you get the peel at Sears in BC? How long ago did you get it?

Olyn don't fret about how much you paid to get the peel. I bought my first one today in the reputable Whole Foods Market and was pleasantly surprised that the trial size was only selling for $4.59 compared to $8 from the JB website. Still have to try it Very Happy
