I was just wondering if those of you who have tried Liz Earle or Eve Lom's muslin cloths thought that they would be something that you could make yourself out of muslin bought at a fabric store. I haven't had a chance to see/feel the cloths in person, so I'm not sure what to expect. From your experience, are they made of generic muslin cloth, or are they special?
Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide! |

I don't see why not. I've used both the Eve Lom and Liz Earle cloths, they just say they're 100% muslin. |

It's fine, use whatever you'd be happy to apply to your face. |

Awesome! Thanks so much, sarahb!
The overseas shipping is so expensive that I'd like to try to make them instead. Thanks again! |

I'm not an expert on them, it's just my opinion, so don't blame me if you come out in a rash. |

Ha! No worries...I won't blame you. I'll just try to make them first, and if it doesn't work out, I'll buy them. |

Yes, but, as pustekuchen says, check that the fabric is not too coarse. |

I've been using muslin squares that I bought in a big packet for cooking ages ago and still had some left over.
However, they are really quite flimsy compared to the Eve Lom one I got with the cleansing balm...!
I thought that given I always buy organic cotton wool (cotton is very intensively farmed with lots of pesticides), maybe I should get some organic cotton ones so will either buy some cloth and make some up or get Organic Pharmacy ones which seem the same price as Eve Lom. |
