Ok, work has been really slow lately so I have found myself to be checking out the forums more and more lately. Ok almost all day today. LOL It seems that it only takes 2 minutes tops before another post is added. I can't keep up! I guess that's the benefit of having worldwide clientele. Keeps it updated and interesting. Does anyone else have this * spam alert *? Is there a cure? Does it involve more shopping? LOL I hope not 'cause I just can't afford to be buying products everyday. Luckily reading the forum is free. So c'mon all you addicts, fess up. I can't just be the only one. There must be a support group out there we can all join. LOL |

Oh, I hear ya! I check it alot during "breaks" at work ... okay, maybe they aren't official work breaks ... but my little "breaks" I made in my day to sneak in some EDS!
I love reading the posts as well, but I do have to tell you ... reading about products ravs has made me spend alot of money since I joined here BUT good thing ... the products I'm using now I am actually seeing results from. So it's money well spent! |

I'm addicted to this board like you wouldn't believe, LOL! Some of you might laugh at me for this, but I consider a lot of the people here who post a lot like I do to be my good friends. Sometimes I hear myself saying to my husband "You won't believe what happened to my friend on the EDS board..." |

I joined not too long ago and I've already posted more than 100 posts! The first thing I do in the morning and before I sleep is EDS, not to mention the times I'm on during the day. Searching for HG products for yourself is hard and EDS is the best place for help, I can only say that I love my * spam alert * and no matter how much time I'm on EDS, it has to be a good thing |

Welcome Wildflower! And no, unfortunately there is no cure for this affliction to EDS - we all suffer it's effects.
It starts all so innocently when you 1st find the forum....oh, wow I didn't know that...then you find yourself sneaking peeks during the day while working....you have a full blown incurable case of it when you find yourself up in the middle of the night checking the threads of the girls on the other side of the world (literally) and it's daytime for them & you don't want them to feel lonely so you start posting at ungodly hours of the night.
The most agonizing part of this * spam alert * is the painful pleas from your credit card as you pinch it out of your wallet yet again to make that next HG (Holy Grail) purchase.
And this is it - this IS the support group!!
You will not find a group of nicer, intelligent & talented women (and the occasional man that passes thru) than here. If you hurt, we hurt - when you laugh we laugh (suddenly recalling someones tale of slapping buttcheeks in a exercise class that gave me the giggles for hours that day). There is always someone here willing to lend an ear and some solid advice.
So - again....we all welcome you and will nod at our monitors in understanding when you regale the latest horror of your just received credit card statement! |

Oh - thank goodness! I thought I was the only 1 who forced hubby to endure my latest saga of "As EDS turns".
I too feel so many members here to be good friends as well. Hmmm, maybe a reunion of sorts? Ah, getting ahead of myself. |

I've been lingering around here ALL DAY recently. Isn't it madness checking my mailbox every 10 minutes (during office hours!) to check on notifications on new posts? |

Another member to the club fessing up
I have EDS on my bookmarks bar and its just sooooo easy to click and voila, here I am for the 10th time today or yesterday, or the day before........ and on and on.
I love reading posts about the latest 'finds' and wondering to myself.. m should I or shouldn't I? Then reminding myself of the array of bottles/jars/tubes on my vanity and talking myself outta buying
I have to say being a member here is an exercise in major self control

Of course I'm back already. Just thought I'd check in again before bed. LOL And I must say, I'm glad I did because Candy you just cracked me up. I'm still giggling as I write this. What a relief to know I'm not alone.

Thankfully I'm not there....yet. That's just too funny.

Oddly this is comforting, yet frightening all at the same time.

Now I second that motion and call for an event in, um let's say Australia or Hawaii, or somewhere sunny and warm. Anyplace really that will let a bunch of witty, hysterical, obsessed, yet probably extremely attractive and well cared for bunch of people stay free of charge. LOL
Oh and thanks for the welcome! |

I have to say I am in the same boat !!
I am a newbie and looking back I am amazed at how many posts I have made already ! That is not even counting the time that I lurked around clicking on this forum before I joined. But unlike other addictions - crazy shopping at sale time hahaha ... there are some many good things I learn from this forum and already I feel so cosy here every time I click on. THANK YOU EDS, THANK YOU GIRLS (AND BOYS)!! |

I check the EDS forum even before my emails now. It's also the last thing I check before I log off the internet. I even check it when I'm at my bf's house. He's always asking "are you on that forum again?" and I'd reply "umm...no". |

addicted? oh definitely LOL. I've also become completely obsessed with looking at my skin at every possible opportunity. I was really not like this just a few weeks ago! I shared with a friend that I was sick of my skin looking so crappy (clogged pores and occasional breakouts) so she shared some products that had been recommended to her, and the links she sent me were for EDS.
I love online forums, I have made many real-life friends on forums (including the friend who sent me to EDS!), so I was immediately interested in the EDS forum. Now I can't stop coming back!
I was just thinking about EDS this morning- it is so cool that they sell such lovely things, and are so very good to us with freebies, and they host an amazing forum full of people who are eager to help and share. Wow! |

I can't tell you the number of times throughout my day when something happens and I can't wait to get home to share it here...
Funny - we are all from so many different walks of life but oddly become a part of each others daily lives. I've been an internet junkie from it's inception when I would get phone bills approaching $1000.00 for the month because you were billed per minute, boy, glad those days are gone - and I have never encountered the warmth, intelligence & genuine caring as I have here. |

I love it here too! I check for new posts all day long, just to see what is going on with everyone else. I just moved to a house out in the country and I really have no friends here so I love feeling like I am part of a group! A smart, beautiful, funny, slightly obsessive group! |

I'm the same way! I do feel I've found some really wonderful friends here (hold that thought about the EDS reunion, Candy! )...and yes, the hubby is subjected to almost daily episodes of "As EDS Turns"...LOL! He's a good sport, though...he sees how much fun I have here, so he doesn't mind my EDS obsession!

Cindy,
Glad you got those moments here, what a tough job you have!!
I do really, from the bottom of my heart, adore & respect all our female police officers--it takes a lot of courage to be one of them. I know I don't have it.
About "being well-behaved", ,you got me thinking....peace & age gracefully, I guess?
I am seriously considering to start collecting you posts, and make a fortune when you get famous, one day. |

I think because my 'silly' moments are tolerated here

Thank you very much. It's a great career & I love what I do. And we all (male & female) have moments that we question our own sanity in our choice of employment. And don't underestimate your abilities...you never know what you're 'really made of' until you're looking at it head on.
About "being well-behaved", ,you got me thinking....peace & age gracefully, I guess?
Hey - someone has to be well-behaved otherwise what would others use to compare us?
I'm all for peace, actually more for the quiet. Aging gracefully doesn't mean I have to act grown-up does it?
I am seriously considering to start collecting you posts, and make a fortune when you get famous, one day. |
Oh - cool! A 'best of Candy's goofiness!' That should sell about 5 copies famous or not! |
