Have any of you noticed that Alpha Lipoic Acid is causing more of your hair to turn gray? I am wondering if this is the culprit for me. I also read that ALA can conflict with Biotin (this vitamin helps keep your hair color intact).

Thanks!

Oh good grief I hope not!!! My hair has gotten more grey (although still mostly brown) over the last year or so and I sure hope I haven't done this to myself. I just started biotin and ran out of ALA so I'll try to note any changes now in my hair.

My mom takes alpha lipoic acid and it hasn't turned her hair gray. She's 53 and it's still growing in blonde...

I only took lipoic acid (ALA) a few times. I could only find the supplement with L-cartinine at Walmart. Right after I took it, I felt dizzy. I wonder if it was L-cartinine. I also find that the ALA + L-Cartinine is hard to dissolve. Where do you buy ALA from? Do you have dizzy problem after you take it? What is the dose you take? Does it dissolve nicely?

I took ALA in the past and had no adverse effects other than severe headaches when I wasn't drinking enough water. HTH
