ive been searching searching for good skin care
has anyone used cellex-c beteplex foaming cleanser
cellex-c sea silk oil free moisturizer
i use the cellex-c beteplex clear skin mask and love it
i was wondering if these other 2 products would be just as good |

Hi Makeup lover,
I like the mask too, on some days it gives me a bit of a sting though...but nothing that persists...the betafoaming cleanser is really nice stuff - my skin feels very clean after using it - without feeling stripped...the sea silk moisturizer has a lovely texture - it's ver soufflé-like in texture and is not clogging at all..Just as an aside, the betaplex toner is fantastic -- really invigorating without being irritating. I've gone through a couple of betaplex introduction kits and think it's great!

 I think you and I have been spending some time on the same MUA pages recently.... I was looking at the Cellex-C reviews on MUA just last night and I wrote down these very two products to try at some stage as they seem to get the best reviews. Sorry, haven't tried them yet so can't comment. Also try search for previous reviews here, I recall the cleanser being mentioned but I could be wrong... |

I love the two products that you mentioned. As far as C serums go, Cellex-c is getting to be a bit 'old school' these days and there are probably better choices out there such skinceuticals, vivier, and IS clinical.

I love the Cellex-C Sea Silk Oil-Free Moisturizer. It helps control my oily skin (especially in this hot weater). I don't even need to touch up my makeup as much now. 
I also use the High Potency Serum in the morning. I love that too. I've noticed the skin texture and clarity improving. |

When I was first looking into C serums I considered the Cellex-C ones and after reading the Skinceuticles and IS Clinical websites and calling Skinceuticles I was convinced that the Cellex-C wasn't as high tech as the others and was "Old School". But the more I look into it now the more I am starting to feel that my opinions of Cellex-C were unjustified. I have been using the ISC Proheal serum and will probably not reorder. If I do decide to continue using a C serum, I will actually consider the Cellex-C brand. I think that a lot of marketing effort has gone into making this brand look inferior and I am not so sure it is! |

| I used Cellex-C a few years ago, I like it but I got better results from Skinceuticals, esp. the serum with Ferulic acid in it. |

Sorry to pique your interest Molly but I did not intend to imply that certain companies have a marketing program in place to make Cellex-C look bad. I probably should not have phrased it that way at all. I do recall reading something on the IS Clinical website but when I went back and looked they were actually implying that ISC was superior to skinceuticles! I guess all the C sellers make a good effort to imply that their serums are the best and others are not as good. If I made a product I would make the best one possible and would probably have no problem touting it's superiority!! Now when I did call Skinceuticles to ask some C serum questions I mentioned Cellex-C in passing and the girl I was speaking with said "That is Old School-ours is so much more advanced blahblahblah", I just find it interesting that this is the same exact term that abejeta used (before anyone freaks out I am not implying that abejita is an undercover Skinceuticles agent). So I "edit" my post no grand marketing conspiracys! |

Well that's fine because it fits very well into my belief system anyway. I find conspiracy theories hard to believe because people generally find it difficult to agree on any damn thing in life.
Do people really think that these high end anti-oxidants have any advantage over the standard offering? I was about to find out for the first time, but my ISC super serum never arrived and now I've changed my order for multiple other necessities/goodies.
What is the advantage over a good standard C serum from PSF, JB or DY? Because I really don't see it. |

| I am one of those people who do think Cellex C is now old school. But to be fair, I think the products are still good. The pared down ingredients are perfect for sensitive skin types that may not be able to handle 30 ingredients in one product. And personally, I really love their Betaplex Line Smoother serum to be excellent. I think it's a great formulation with hyaluronic acid carrier for multi-AHAs. Currently using this and I have to say that I do think my skin looks smoother overall. But then I am also using Bliss Sleeping Peel which I find to be also very good. |

OK, you can put me on the Cellex-C lover list.
My first Vit. C serum was the Cellex-C "sun savvy" kit (15ml C serum, 15ml Hydra B5 and small sunscreen). The difference in my face was AWESOME after just 2 weeks.
Yes, my serum was already golden when I opened it and was darker by the end, but it never stopped working. It was never sitcky and soaked right in and the Hydra B5 was just the most amazing product.
Alas all the talk about the oxidation etc. etc. swayed me from a repurchase and I tried samples of various Vitamin C serums - PSF (yuk, hated the glycerin feel), Vivier (again, did not like the glycerin slip to it), JB C&C (not too bad, but a bit sticky), and IS Clinical Super Serum. I liked my super serum sample the best so bought the full bottle. I do still ike it, but not as much as the Cellex-C and when it is gone I am going back to the 17.5% serum/Hydra B5 combo.
I also just purchased the Cellex-C Speed Peel and it is TOTALLY AWESOME (review will follow). Very similar to using Epidermx but far less work and less stress on the skin. I will never purchase Epidermx again (and I used that for almost 2 years) because I have finally found something better.
Next on my list of "wants" is the Vitamin C powder mask! |
