I recently started experience veins on my hands being more visible than ever. I don't work out and i am pretty skinny.

I was wondering if their are products out there that work to get rid of visible veins from showing on the hands?

Are you talking about the back of the hands? I think those are visible on everybody right? They are pretty big there. If that's the only veins you have a problem with you are lucky. I have this one visible blood vessel under my right eye and I can see my veins all over my body. On the insides of my arms, on my chest and breasts even. Sad I just have super thin skin so they show through. There is nothing I can do about it. A tan helps a bit in reducing the visibility but that has it's own problems....

Back of the hands?

I'm talking about veins that pop out when you make a grip on your hands or you know the one's that really pop out like body builder style. Just wondering if anyone knows how to get rid of them.

I don't think you can get rid of them like spider veins and such.. since they do lead to major arteries??

If you have those types of veins then it's a sign you might be underweight (or use drugs..), so if you do put on more weight the fat actually helps to conceal the veins.

You might be noticing them more now that it is summer. I've noticed that after I go to the gym, or if I'm hot, the veins look a lot larger. This is the body trying to cool itself down.
If you have very pale skin, a self tanner might hide them a bit, but you can't get rid of them.

Well you can get rid of them, but only temporarily.

I heard this tip recently, something to do with the veins in the arms not having those valve things, or whatever they are called, that legs have.
But anyway if you raise your hands up to a higher level the veins will be much smaller and less noticeable.
Just try putting your hands above your head...gravity works! Even just putting them on someone's shoulder or leaning against a wall will do it.

Of course as soon as you lower your hands the problem returns ... but I find it's a quick fix if I think people are looking at my ugly hands. Yes, I know I am crazy to even think about such things Very Happy

compton--do you do a lot of chores or use your hands a lot? my aunt has the same problem, but she's always cleaning or something. i don't know if there's anything that will make them less visible. maybe the gradual tanning lotions can disguise them under your skin?

I too have ugly back hands....and always wondered why its more noticable sometimes....guess I was doing the "raise" trick without even knowing it, on the other times. Thanks for the tip appletini.

plastic surgeons are now injecting stuff into the viens in hands and they die away, new smaller ones reappear to replace them. I just saw a show on this. So if its truely bothering you, that might be ur answer.
