I just bought a Dermanew machine and was wondering what creams/exfoliators you all use with it. I've heard that the cream that comes with the machine has clogged many a pore! Is there something else that works better? Alexis |

I have used my dermanew with the cream provided and its been fine for me, even though I have to be careful which products I use. I have the cream for normal/sensitive skin, but I believe you can use the 'stronger' one too. I have to admit, was a bit lazy at first and only did it for the odd day or so, but have started to use machine again, this time doing it for the 5 days in a row. I find it best not to use anything on my face straight after, just use LOADS of water to rinse, then go to bed! My skin is a lot smoother now, so has been worthwhile, and I will keep doing the routine. Have read more and more good reviews so I think a lot of people have some success. Just so you know, I am 41 and am using the machine to smooth fine lines and reduce pore size if thats not asking too much! But if nothing else, my skin is in better condition, usually I am extremely oily in the t-zone and this has definitely got better. |

Well, thanks Lee! I'd be using it for the same thing - lines & pores & toning (OK, maybe I'm dreaming). I guess I'll just order it then. I'm still hoping for suggestions for other dermabrasion creams to use with it though. Just in case. Alexis |

I had a look at the dermanew system again onwww.skinstore.com. Just so you know I have the facial rejuvanation system, not the classic dermanew. I did email them after purchase to see if I could interchange the creams at a later date, and they said that was fine. Looking at the ingredients in the cream I have, it does contain some classic pore cloggers (octyl palmitate and wheatgerm oil for a start) but I have had no problem at all. I would normally avoid these at all cost! If you have not looked at this site (skinstore) take a look as it often has lots of reviews on products. EDS is still my favourite though, cant beat the prices even with shipping to the UK. |

Thanks so much! I guess I'll give it a try and see what happens. I was hoping to find another cream that didn't have those "baddies" in it. I know other companies who make knock-off machines have their own creme but I couldn't find a list of ingredients so it's probably the same. I did find a source for an all-natural creme containing the crystals, aloe, and vitamin C & E but the wait time to get it is.....are you ready.....4 MONTHS!
If EDS recommends the Dermanew creme, then I guess it's alright. Thanks again, Alexis |
