So I had this wig made for my new portfolio, they made it the right color dark blonde/medium golden blonde mix only it looks too shiny kind of fake. Do you think If I threw it in a tanning bed for awhile the colors would dull a little? Thanks! |

Yes, I'm with IMG models New York, I wear wigs because I can't bring myself to cut, color or do any sort of damage to my natural hair. |

Are the wigs 100% human hair? I don't know how you can fade it so quickly though, usually with time color tends to fade in hair...hm |

Yes it is, do you think if I keep washing it with shampoo? Mabey dandruff shampoo?
I just asked a friend of the tanning thing and I guess that will just fry the inside of the hair like noodles and make it feel like straw! |

I'd say head and shoulders shampoo. I have friends who swear it totally strips the colour more than other shampoos. One reason I NEVER shampoo! |

You don't shampoo at all? I heard you should rotate, shampoo once, and then the next time you wash your hair just use conditioner. |

Nope. I use a cheap (ie, no silicone) conditioner with 1/3 apple cider vinagre (thanks carekate! ) and wash my hair in that.
My hair is in much better condition now and the colour doesn't fade so fast |
