I used to have oily skin and have fairly large pores. My skin is not so oily now but I still have large pores on each side of my face next to my nose. Does anybody know of any kind of treatment for minimising large pores, better still - getting rid of them. I have seen some ads by dermatologists but are not sure what the procedure is and whether it actually works. |

Use products with BHA. They clean pores from the inside out and make them look smaller. You could also do some microdermabrasion treatments. |

You can use a pore minimizer such as Clinique's pore perfector to hide the pores. It's a temporary solution. |

BHA products do work over time, should make your pores cleaner so they are less noticeable.
Pure Lux Eraser is great for covering up large pores aswell. |

I've really found that ISC's active serum and super serum have refined the appearance of my pores. I also really like using Paula's BHA. |

Thanks mommytoemma. Do I have to see a derm to get IS? I live in Sydney, Australia and don't know if there any derms in Sydney that would prescribe IS. |

As far as covering them goes, I can testify that the Clinique stuff does work really well. I'm usually not a Clinique fan, but I do like this stuff. I will say, though, that if you're not fair skinned, the color may be too pale. If you use enough to truly hide the pores, the color stays on your face. I'm not sure if they make other colors, knowing Clinique, probably not. Seems like a lot of their products only come in one or two colors. |
