Hi,
I just started with these products tonight!
(Active serum, hydra cool and super serum).
Should I expect any purging with these products?
Should I discontinue with my JB apple peel?
Any tips or advice would be much appreciated!
Thanks. |

The Active makes me peel slightly but I've never had any purging with the Super. Hope you enjoy. |

Lucinda, I had quite a breakout-periode on the beginning, for some 3 weeks (i still have the feeling it was caused by the hydra-cool, but it's easy to push all problems to poor hydracool as i didn't like it...)
I make exfol 2x a week in the evening, those two nights i don't put on any active serum. |

I don't think I had purging but I use Active and Proheal. I started the Active daily every night for a week before starting on the Proheal. I didn't even tingle using the Active but I could feel the menthol in it. Also if the Hydra-Cool is too heavy for you (I never bought that one) I was recommended by theskincareinstitute that I can substitute it for Skinceuticals Phyto Corrective which I really like because it's good for acneic skin and supposedly helps acne marks/scars. Because my skin is so awful right now and healing so slowly I can't really say how well it works in doing that yet but it's a great moisturizer for me anyways and the texture is not heavy at all.
I still use my GAP a lot - increased to every other night now - I have no problems with it but you should try and see how your skin reacts to the Active first so you know how sensitive your skin is. |

what exactly is the hydracool supposed to do? I bought a sample of it with an active sample and I don't mind the texture because I'm only going to bed, but I have the phyto+ so its interesting to know I could use that instead. |

Hydracool is meant to be the moisturizing serum (for me it was after the super serum in the morning - in the evening after the active serum). |

I love the hydracool as it seems to be just enough moisture in the am, although I also use it at night sometimes I need an extra boost. It's never made me breakout though. |

Annie is right - the HydraCool is meant to moisturize. Its principal active is hyaluronic acid - actually not a moisturizer in and of itself, but an active that attracts water molecules.
I am not crazy about the feel of the HydraCool but, I think I've said this before: I AM crazy about what it does for my skin. At one point, I stopped using it for a few days and tried substituting something else. The difference in the look of my skin was more than enough to convince me that HydraCool was the way to go. |

I use super serum every morning and alternate nights with active serum and Paula's BHA. I didn't have any purging at all when I started this. |

I used the super serum in the a.m and active p.m. No purging at all, but recommend some sort of moisturizer over the active serum as it can be drying. |

I'm really happy with the IS Clinical products I've been using (Super Serum & Active Serum). I agree that the Super Serum doesn't give me the shine the PSF C Serum did. I'm really happy with it. And the Active Serum I alternate nights with JM Bioclear and AG Photolagen. I have noticed in the past week (I've been using this for about 2 - 3 weeks now) that my face is starting to clear (not getting the breakouts that I used to). Which makes me VERY happy. I don't know if it's one of the products or the combination (because unfortunately I started them all around the same time), but something is working! |

Annie, may I ask you how often I have started using the active that I should use it every day?
I am using it everyother day, last night being my second time, and I must say, I woke up more red than when I used it the first time. Do you think it was because I didn't put on as much hydracool as I did the firt night, I mean, would that be a possibility?
I just want these pesky pores looking reduced. Thats it. |
