This is probably very silly, but I'm not sure I understand the use of a spatula to dip products out of a jar. It seems to me that once you dip it into the product and touch your skin with it, it is dirty. Are you supposed to keep a big container of individually sealed spatulas, or are you supposed to wash it after you use it? If you wash it, what's the difference between that and using well-washed fingertips? I'd rather stick clean fingers in the product than use a spatula that has been sitting im my drawer all day. Will someone please explain? I'm sure that my jars of cream must be horribly contaminated. I just use my fingertips because I've never gotten the spatula thing. |

I've never got that hang of using spatualas either Start off with the best of intentions when I receive a new products, but inevitably I find freshly washed fingers much easier. Especially with jars of eye creams, spatulas always end up with too much of the products on them and you have to empty the product back into the jar.
I think though that you're just supposed to wash the spatualas after each use and re-use, they're not usually made of porous material, so i'm sure in the long run it's slightly more hygienic to use them intead of fingers. |

Okay. Thanks! I guess I did get it then - thought I was missing something huge. |
