I've been noticing a few posts lately where people are looking to make some new girl friends in their area so I thought, hey wouldn't it be great if we could start a few "local" threads where we could all meet some new friends who live near us. Or maybe just a "new friend" thread. Maybe we can just start on this one. I know how hard it is nowadays to make new friends when everyone is so busy or already has their own circle of friends, especially if you've just moved to a new town/city/country. I can admit that I too would like to meet some new people with common interests in my area. (I don't get out much LOL). So how 'bout it? Anyone interested in starting a "meet and greet" thread where people who are looking for new friends can post? Sure it would be great to meet people who live near us but it doesn't have to be a prerequisite. Just a way for us to network.
I can start by saying that I live in TO and am looking to make some new friends as well so if anyone is interested please go ahead and PM me. |

Im in Dallas(addison), for the next few months or so, then Im off to Arizona for the next 8. Id love to hang out!  |

From Addison to Arizona, eh? Quite a change! I wish you the best there. Are you moving for work?
I am in the Dallas area as well! (South Arlington/Grand Prairie area to be exact). |

| Hmm....Just had another idea. Do you think there would be any way of getting an EDS chat room going? I don't know what would be involved but that may be a great way to chat with others live about skin care etc and a good way to get to know people as well. Would anyone be interested? Maybe if there is a demand for it the wonderful people here at EDS may start one? |

| What about grouping people in categories of where they live? This thread seems to be heading in the same direction as the where ppl live thread which doesn't help all that much. Also I second wildflower's chat idea! |

Yeah, its a jump. My husbands job will be taking him overseas for a while, so Im running to Mama!  We should see who else is in DFW and get together for drinks! |

That would be fun! I think there are a few others out there from Dallas so hopefully they'll chime in.
Is he going to be gone overseas for 8 straight years? Good grief! I don't know that I could deal with that. And I don't blame you for running to mama, I'd do the same thing! |

I think a chat room would be great! Sometimes you get a response to a post, and then you have a question regarding someone's answer and you have to wait for their response again. If we had a chat room, we could go back and forth a lot easier.
Of course I'd probably get even less done at work. |

wow this is a great idea! the chat room idea is excellent too~ i would love to meet some new girl friends.. i have had a hard time meeting girls the last few years since i have been out of school  i live in vancouver.. feel free to message me anyone |

| Actually its fairly easy to set up a chatroom. If EDS isn't up for it, any one of us could set one up using msn or yahoo (not their IM module...that only allows a few people). |
