Well...it doesn't bother me THAT much.... but apparently when you have posted 1000 posts or more (and I'm getting dangerously close to that mark. Yikes!) your member level changes from "senior member" to "posting freak" Surprised

So.... depending how flexible the forum interface/software is..... I was kinda thinking that it would be nicer to call it "EDS dependant" or something less along the "freak" lines *blushes*

I know it's just a label but somehow I think I'd feel better about being called "EDS dependant" ('coz it's kinda true Smile).

Any thoughts?

"Posting Freak" huh?

Well, at least it doesn't cut you off at 1,000 with a message that says, "Get a Life!" Wink

Tell me about it. I'm supposed to be a writer, but ever since I found this forum, I'm doing more reading (and laughing) than writing!!! Very Happy

I hope the burst in forum activity over the past few months brings back some of the older members - 2003/2004. I see some names like Sidda and leeleedeedee posting a little more frequently now. (Where have you guys been?) They were talking about things like the different forms of vit E when I was choosing cherry or mint chapstick.

I cannot believe they were going to call them "posting freaks", glad they changed their minds. Mind you though, when I first saw the term "senior member" I thought it referred to the older members and as I was already well and truely over 50 then I thought geez they must be over 60. I was very glad when I found out it referred to the number of posts and not age.

I can't either. I never have seen avatars being used on EDS, although I've checked from multiple computers. Am I missing something? Do we have avatars (and why aren't I seeing them)???

And in regards to the title you get after posting, I know that some other forums come up with personalized 'titles' for those well- known people (such as inside joke names or something comical). Just an idea I guess. But I can see how the freak part can be degrading.

Laughing Laughing I remember this! I was feeling slightly self conscious about being called a posting freak. It was just a guilt trip for spending too much time on EDS Smile

AFAIK, we don't have avatars on EDS.
