Hi All,
Your resident Yonkalogica girl here  I just recently discovered something great about Yonka Lotion.
For those of you unfamiliar with Yonka, the Yonka Lotion is not a moisturizer or your typical "lotion." It's actually a toner / astringent (liquid). I'm on my second bottle right now and it really was a love-hate relationship. With the first bottle I used, I never really noticed anything. I used it as my aestheticians advised: spritz some product on a tissue and then flatten it against your skin. OR you can spray it on your face (it comes in a spray bottle) and then soak up the excess product with a tissue.
I never liked that process because . . . well, I just didn't think it was doing anything for my skin. My favorite astringent is still Sea Breeze (I know it has a bit of alcohol in it but it is sooooooooooo tingly fresh)! With Sea Breeze, I just put some product on a cotton ball and work it over my face -- makes my face feel clean and refreshed and I can SEE the excess "dirt" on the cotton ball afterwards. With the Yonka Lotion, I didn't feel like I was getting much out of it. I even tried spraying the Lotion on a cotton ball and use it like I use Sea Breeze but I felt I was spraying too much product (because it takes a bit of product to soak up the cotton ball).
So what's the recent discovery? Hee hee hee, it's coming, don't worry!
After cleansing your skin, spray your face and neck with Yonka Lotion. Do NOT use a tissue to soak the excess up. Instead, use your fingers (they should still be relatively clean because you just washed your face) to rub the liquid through your skin. Pretend it's like a moisturizer and work it into your skin. It'll dry as you do this but . . . TRUST ME -- you will feel a difference with your skin.
With the tissue method: my skin felt a bit damp and blah.
With the finger method I've just described: my skin feels SOFTER SOFTER SOFTER and SMOOTHER SMOOTHER SMOOTHER. It's really amazing. I never knew Yonka Lotion could do this for my skin! After the Lotion I apply a moisturizer and . . . the moisturizer even feels better because my skin feels so smooth!
I'm not sure why I didn't try this method earlier, but boy oh boy, this is now a love-love relationship!
