Okay got a haircut saturday by my usual stylist whom I've been going to for ab out 7 years now, he's ALWAYS done a fabulous job, this time around maybe I explained something wrong but I ended up with bangs...not chopped short ones, but a lot shorter than what I'm used to and I hate it! As soon as he took that first snip I gasped, I guess it's growing on me, but it was quite traumatic and immediately started to cry when I left the salon. The b/f just couldn't help but laugh on how upset I was.. . Guess men will NEVER understand that it's just not a haircut to us.
This is basically what it looks like, I know it may seem cute but I've always had long layered bangs and this is quite new to me.
This is what I'm used to.

I have had only one bad haircut, and that was more of a bad colour choice, and it was my idea. I had it shock-blonded and cut Annie Lennox short; I thought it would look nifty, but instead, I resembled a retired Florida bingo babe.
Other than that, short, long, spiky, layered, or shaved off, it's all good. It's hair. It's mutable. It grows back.
I think too often women get locked into a style, anyhow. I've been working at the same place for nearly twenty years, and there are women here who wear exactly the same makeup and hairstyles they had when I started here. It's clear they're no longer seeing it, cos it's, well, not so flattering as it once was.
Sorry... guess I'm more of a man! Embrace the change, I say. I'm sure it in fact looks lovely on you. |

Ariesxtreme, I think nothing can spoil you. You look so gorgeous with either haircut, but I can see what you are talking about. However, I agree with CompassRose: It's hair. It's mutable. It grows back.
Don't worry, one more week, and you will not feel such a difference, you'll get used to it. |

Have you tried blowing your bangs back with the rest of your hair? I have short-ish bangs, but most days I just blow my hair back ala Angelina Jolie, so you can't even tell I have em. |

you call that a bad haircut? You should see mine - look exactly like a hamlet. Trying really hard to grow it out right now but man is so painful to look at the mirror now. |
