Hi Everyone,
I am a newbie, so please bear with me. I am 65 yrs old. I feel that I have aged gracefully, except for my neck!!
I kid you not when I say I have a neck of an 85 yr old woman. It is very depressing. I am so ashamed of my neck, that I live in turtlenecks.
My question is, does anyone know what can help this type of problem, besides the knife!

Hi Marilyn,
Sorry that I won't give you any good advice, but my b/f's mom just went under the knife. She's in her early 50's but she has a history in the family of extra skin on the chin, and it's starting to show already in one of the daughters that's only 27 now. If it's somewhat hereditary unfortunately there may not be a solution than going under the knife, sorry |

Hi!
I am fifty and I am getting a series of IPL treatments for my neck and décolleté. This is mainly to help with discoloration (redness), sun damage (spots), etc. It will not help with sagging.
But, there is a Fraxel Laser (I think it was a Fraxel?), which I have seen before and after pictures for ~ amazing results on firming double chin!!!
There is even a Laser Neck Lift! It combines liposuction + laser treatment, sounds very promising.
I know a great laser specialist in DC, if you are near Washington. |

Hi crossings!
There are things that will help, but how much really depends on what you have done in the past. Chances are if you have not cared for your neck in the past or given it little attention that you will see a more dramatic difference as simple hydration will be noticable at first.
On that note, if you have sensitive skin or have not used much you want to start non-agressively so as not to overdo it.
For sensitive products with a punch I like Ice Elements skin souffle, the anti aging serum and the blueberry mask. Also the Eidelweiss serum that is previewing next month would be a good pick.
The skin souffle has a slow release glycolic so it is going to go deeper into the skin and have a smoothing effect while turning over your skin cells so that the newer skin underneath will come up more quickly.
The serum and mask will hydrate, stimulate collegen and tighten your skin.
If this interests you, check out the message boards at:

For a more aggressive approach, you may want to try green cream. If you try green cream and have never use a retinol product, start slow... It will take at least 4 months to really see the effects of green cream as the changes are made under the skins surface, which is why one needs to be carefull as it is easy to overdo it. If this interests you check out the Green Cream community at:
http://www.greencream.com/
You could also go for a perscription retinol, which is really strong.
With either choice you will also need to exfoliate to keep the dead skin cells moving so that your products continue to work well. With aggressive products I suggest a gentle exfoliation method like Ice Elements 2 minute miracle exfoliation gel. It soothes and hydrates so it works well with aggressive products.
And do use a daily sunscreen with at least an SPF of 30 starting yesterday to prevent any further damage.
Good luck and take care.

What about that thermal thing. You know, where it tightens the skin?with infrared heat I think? Has anyone ever heard of this. |

Wow great information Bosoxy! I have been using a prescription Renova A for 7 yrs. It helps fine lines and crowsfeet very well, but did not tighten or help neck crevices at all.
But I did not know about the exfoliation!
I have read with great interest about Thermalage, has anyone on this board tried it?[/b] |

Try a series of at home TCA peels, they will help mostly with discolorations and lines, also a copper peptide + emu oil serum will help with collagen stimulation and this will help with the saggyness somewhat. During the day wear sunblock of course, but use a vitamin C serum as well, this will brighten up your skin immensly. While we can never make our skin perfect, or the way it once was, if you stick with these things, and maybe a good perscription retinol cream, you will see dramatic improvement. Good luck! |

You are welcome!
This is what I received today in my email regarding the new serum by Ice Elements that should interest you as it seems like it is what you are looking for and as it does not contain chemical product it will not interfere with your use of Renova.

My rec would be the Fraxel over Thermage as I have heard that Thermage can cause fat loss. I've never done either, but would consider the Fraxel for myself personally. |

I am only in mid 20's but am very conscious of my neck and dec area. The best and only product I have ever used which gives fantastic results in the valmont neck cream. It is a bit expensive but boy is it worth the money. I have those lines on my neck area and one night use they are vertually gone. However with every thing you have to maintain. HTHS |
