Can you have micro-dermabrasion in the area under the eyes?

I have some lines and wrinkles under my eyes that I would like to erase. Does micro-dermabrasion work well for this area?

Will I have to keep going back for more treatments ?

Will I peel/flake and if so, for how long?

Do I need to go to a dermatologist for this?

Sorry lots of questions Rolling Eyes

I had a series of microdermabrasions last year and I was really happy with the results. I am going back in a couple weeks to start another "session". I went because I had minor acne scars (dark patches) and my derm said they would lighten...they did. I also had losts of milia and she said it would help with them as well...it did in the short term but they did come back.

Can you have micro-dermabrasion in the area under the eyes? They will not go close to your under eye area but they will do the wrinkles at the outside corners. It is way too harsh to do right under the eye.

I have some lines and wrinkles under my eyes that I would like to erase. Does micro-dermabrasion work well for this area? No. Outside area...yes.

Will I have to keep going back for more treatments ? My Dr. said 1 series a year would be fine for me but I think you can go as long as you like. I felt like it was really gentle so I would not hesitate to go more than 1 session a year ($$). 1 session is 4 times spaced 1 month apart. You should not go more than 1x a month.

Will I peel/flake and if so, for how long? I did not notice any peeling or flaking at all. I did not have readness either...I think this varies for everyone.

Do I need to go to a dermatologist for this? I like to because it makes me "feel" better like in some way it is more regulated but this is just me. I'm sure spa's are just fine. In fact the spaI used to use for facials just started doing them with their facials. I'm going to give them a try because I trust them.

Thanks Olivia for your advice.

I think I will wait and see how I go with ISC.
