I've just made my first batch of DIY DrH CC. I used more almonds than in carekates original recipe, so added more of the rest of the ingredients. However, it still seems a bit too crumbly as opposed to a thick paste. Haven't actually used it yet, will try it tomorrow. Will it be ok when mixed with water? Or do I need to add more to it? I added lemon, tea tree and ylang ylang EO, rosewater, witch hazel, grapeseed oil, jojoba oil, castor oil and extra virgin olive oil. I realise all these ingrediaents aren't in the original recipe but I was just trying to get it to stick! Any suggestions? Also, do you use the 'press and roll' technique like with the original cc? Thanks in advance! |

The reason why it is crumbly may be it is too dry rather than needing more binding agents. Try adding some hydrosol and mixing, it should develop a pasty consistency. Otherwise add some finely ground oat to the hydrosol mixture, it should create a similar consistency to the CC.
