Hi I 'm new here. I have been reading some great testimonies from people who has used
the Godiva skin care products.

I was wondering If any dark skin tone african
americans tried this products.

Did you get any results with the products?
Did it lighten the skin? If it did, How long did it take to see results.

I have a medium brown skin complexion.
Will thier products work for me?

Please give me your opinions. Thank You.

I have indian skin, light brown, and I used Godiva skin lotion. It lightens slightly and gradually. I don' t know where they get their promise of 7 days lightening from? It's not too bad if you do not have high expectations. I found the Otentika hypercreme line more effective for natural lightening. Your skin is very individual and things work differently for everyone.

I should get back to this forum because I read an article about a black Dr. who is a dermotologist and she shared her skincare products that she is using and her skincare problems.

Ok, here it is...

Her name is Heather Woolery-Lloyd, 32 years old.
She is suffering from breakouts after she had her baby and she does not like the dark spots that it would leave on her skin. She uses:

Glytone Mild Gel Wash (I think you can get it at DermaDoctor web site and SkincareRX)-it contains acid to exfoliate and leaves her skin smoother but it's gentle enough not to irritate.
she also use prescription cleanser called Brevoxyl-4 Creamy Wash, which has 4% benzoyl peroxide, then follow with her prescription lotion containing benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin, such as BenzaClin or Duac. She always wear sunscreen, Neutrogena Healthy Defense SPF 30.
At night, she doesn't always wash her face but when she does, Glytone again but she also likes Neutrgena Fresh Foaming Cleanser because it is mild. If she is breaking out, she will use BenzaClin or Duac again, otherwise, she used Cetaphil lotion.

That is her regime and the skincare that she is using. I guess she knows what she is talking about because she is a doctor.
I think MD Formulations is similar to Glytone.

I hope this was informative Smile
