Well I don't know about the rest of you ladies, but when the weather starts to get cold, I battle a red, dry, itchy scalp. I usually use jojoba or camellia oil on it and that works pretty well, but the other night I was scouring my cabinet for something with a little more "oomph" when I came across my PSF Balancing Oil. The ingredients in it are supposed to be great for the hair and scalp--- Neem oil, Jojoba, tea tree oil, etc, so I emptied some into a bottle with a glass dropper, applied it to my scalp, and gave myself a thorough scalp massage before hopping in the shower and washing it all off. Well, lo and behold, after I got out of the shower and dried my hair, I noticed all the dryness, the redness, the flakiness, etc was all gone! So, if anyone has been dealing with the same problem, a bottle of PSF Balancing Oil is a cheap and easy fix, IMO. However, given the small size of the Balancing Oil bottle, if I were to do this treatment more than once a week or so I imagine I'd run out pretty quickly, so maybe Candy or Carekate will considering selling bigger bottles of this stuff?

manslayerliz: It's so good that you brought up this thread - I wanted to ask you a question about the balancing oil. How moisturizing do you think this is? I am going to out of my YY oil soon and I don't think I'll repurchase as my skin is quite balanced now and want to move on to an oil that's more moisturizing and yet still have similar abilities as the YY oil. I'm torn between PSF or Dr.H. I've been using a sample of the Dr.H Normalizing Oil these few days and seems to be good in terms of moisturizing properties, but I prefer the ingredients of the PSF but afraid it might be a bit drying (esp. since it's winter now) similar to the YY. What do you think?

Hmm.... that's a good question, Sormuimui. It's actually been a while since I've used this on my face, so I can't exactly say. When the weather was warmer I was just using Zenbiotic's Phyto Moisture, but now that it's getting colder and I need a little mositure boost I've been smoothing one drop of camellia oil after the Phyto Moisture, and it's been working quite well. So, tomorrow, I'll try the Balancing Oil in place of the Camellia oil and report back on how moisturizing it is, ok?^-^ (Although on a side note, have you considered camellia oil? I've been loving it, and it's supposed to be good for acne-prone skin...)

Beat ya to it my love - I recently listed my hot oil hair treatment that I'm loving & my 'lab rats' seem to enjoy too.

Oh, BTW - LOVE the new stuff - will email later.

I was one of the "lab rats" (lol!) and I can say that her "Some Like It HOT" hair treatment is awesome!

I left it on for an hour as instructed, and my hair came out so soft, shiny and nourished! I'm going to use it as a weekly treatment from now on...

Well, I tried using the Balancing Oil in place of my Camellia oil today. The verdict? Well, when combined with Zenbiotic Phyto Moisture it does a pretty good job of moisturizing. That being said, I still prefer Camellia oil, so I'll be sticking with it for now, and I'll keep using the Balancing Oil on my scalp. HTH!
