Well I've now gone ahead and done SOME researching and narrowing down of the beauty line selections.
All I need is now some advice on deciding between these two and I am set.
So here it is....Decleor or Yonka???
Wanted opinions on who thought what line might be superior or what you prefer from either line.
I know there are some resident Yonka girls in here, and so I'm trying to get as much advice before Monday when I decided I *must* order by
Lastly, for the future 'if' it gets sold on EDS, any rants/raves about Darphin in comparison.
Your knowledge is appreciated deeply.
Thank you, can't wait to shop :P
...oh I have combo skin with large pores and blackheads rare pimple. ;)thx |

Well I don't have an overall favourite but I will tell you that Decleor Essential Balm is excellent for combo skin with blackheads.
Btw, I don't think EDS will be stocking Darphin. I seem to recall that this issue came up before. I can't remember exactly what it was about (something about it being owned by Estee Lauder?). If you'd like to find out just do a search for Caspers Mum's posts that had "Darphin" in them and you'll find what I'm talking about.

The thing is about two weeks ago I had a Yonka Facial done and I loved it!!!!!
BUT, that may simply be that given that I was in the middle of a stressful set of weeks cause of work and stuff, that my skin was just worse than it usually is. I remember before going to get one done my combo skin, with pores, blackheads, whiteheads, thought to myself OMG my face looks so dull and dehydrated that despite my oily nose and forehead I've got dry flaky patches somehow
But right after it was beaming, smooth, and evened out.
However, I do not know if this is due to the facial or neglect.
My regimen consists of not much I'm only in my early twenties, but so far it is the following:
Cleanser-Renee Rouleau gel cleanser
Toner-Renee Rouleau ginseng toner
Eye cream-Vichy optivia (rarely use it though cause I'm lazy)
Face cream-Renee Rouleau citrus creme
Sunscreen-Murad spf 15 for the face
(just bought from EDS )
Sunblock-Murad for the body spf 30 (also just received)
Now, I bought a whole set of stuff from RR because I thought I'd give it a proper try all at once. Mind you my skin has behaved very well with the line, but I don't think its exceptional. And I AM a ~girl~ I want my skin to be just that, look Exceptional!!! (I'm sure most of you would agree;))
So now any points worth mentioning for my naive self who's stemming into the beauty skincare world. Thank you. |

Hello roopdh
You mentioned dull, dehydated, oil with black and white heads.
Since you just bought your skin care, I do not suggest you buy another entire new system, but rather to add on some other stuff to supplement your existing products.
I would suggest that you add on some exfoliation to slough off the black and white heads and get the cell rejuvenation going. Most of the girls have good things to say about Dermalogical's Microexfoliant - it's a good 'polisher' for dull skin, and gets the black/white heads off. The other possible one is PTR Buffing beads, although I have not personally tried this one.
In addition, an occasional pampering mask like Valmont's renewing pack or Phytomer's revitalisation mask is good. I have tried them both - gives dull skin a shot in the arm definitely. Your skin will look radiant.

Thanks Jenny
I actually bought it last summer so I'm running out of almost all of my stuff, only the Murad prods are brand new (from EDS).
So suggestions for anything are welcomed, and I'll keep the microexfoliant in mind. |

hi roopdh,
Just wanted to say, I'm glad you mentioned Renee Rouleau products. Her products were on my very long (6 page!!!) list of products to try. After you mentioned they weren't exceptional, I think I'll put my desire to try her line on the back burner. :P |

Roop
On the basis of ingredients alone I would now choose Yonka over Decleor-not that there is nothing wrong with their oils or balms which is where I think they shine but over all as a range I would choose Yonka.
I found the Dec.Cleanser for oily/combination skin too drying and the lotion too sticky.
I guess much comes down to personal taste and how your skin reacts to the products. |

Just a quick question though, do you find the lines with botanicals and essential oils, etc. have done better things for yuour skin or do you mix up your product selection?
Thanks again:D |
