I have never broken out from a cosmetic item, and I fully believe in giving products a real chance -- well I started breaking out the second I started using total effects and the zits stopped the day after I stopped using it 6 weeks later. it even prompted me to buy a zeno -- before I realized that it was the total effects.
serves me right for trying to go cheap...I thought I might be able to quit my fancy-products obsession but it looks like you get what you pay for. damn you, olay! |

aahh! You're not the only one! I used Olay microdermabrasion...it was terrible...my face was terrible.
Now I use it on my elbows and feet. Sheesh. |

my botlle of total effects was 3/4 full...so I tried to give it away but no one was very excited when I said, "this stuff makes me break out so I don't want it, do you?" |

Olay uses a ton of silicones in their products. I think that's why. I won't even try their stuff anymore. |

You have my sympathy. And, thank you for the warning. The title of your post made me smile. |

I agree that lots of drugstore items can be cheaply made and use undesirable fillers and harsh chemicals, just dont write everything off that comes from a drugstore. Several "cult" items here on EDS that alot of people use come from drugstores/supermarkets. The two most valueable skill I have learned on EDS is to READ LABELS and know when to splurge and when to save your money! Be aware of what you are putting on your skin, you would be surprised that several "high end" products can be loaded with nasty chemicals, etc.
P.S. Sorry it didnt work out for you!
P.S.S. Your screen name is making me very hungry! |
