Molly -- here you go. Look under "moisturizers"

Thanks Marla
That's certainly the right stuff, but it's a big, expensive quantity. Do you know somewhere where I can buy a bit less?

I'm afraid not -- sorry!
It will keep for a few years. It's far and away the least expensive way to use HA.

Molly -- you should PM Tangal (Paula B thread) and ask her! I remember her from SCB...she's a big DIY'er...She might have a suggestion.

I cna't answer your question whatsoever, but what does HA do? I read that it helps with sagging skin...so it's of no use for younger folk?

It's a water binding agent - just as useful for young, dehydrated skin I would imagine
Here's an FAQ entry on it Smile

Molly, why do you prefer HA not derived from animal sources? Have you found that the quality of the synthetic one is better?

I knew you didn't mind animal factors because of your emu oil using. Razz

Smile Hi everyone, Angyl HA is Hyaluronic Acid - if collagen and elastin are the bricks that hold the skin turgor - HA is the mortar - it will hold about 1000 times its weight in water - also found in your joints -

Usual source is the cockscomb of a rooster which is what the gals are re-ferring to - the best source, we use it - is from the potato - it is extrememly expensive - some folks have issues with animal based ingredient sources.

I don't know of anywhere where you can get small quantities of HA non - animal source tho - Hope this helps - Amy
