I am looking for a natural deodorant-only product and I've read good reviews on various forums about Tom's of Maine. If anyone uses these deodorants, please let me know which variety/scent you have had the best results with. Thanks! |

I like the calendula (?) one. <I think that's how you spell it>
Anyway, I like Tom's, but during the summer I really miss the anti-perspirant of my Secret. |

My quest is to find an anti-perspirant/deodorant combo, natural or not, that does not contain aluminium. I don't think one exists. Deodorants are fine, but it gets HOT here in LA in summertime and while I don't sweat like a farm animal, it would be nice to have something to control wetness! |

I've tried but I also think it doesn't exist. It's hard to imagine that only the aluminum can do that.
But it's a real issue if you get those 'rings'.
I've tried powder on top the natural ones before but I got a funky cakey texture by the end of the day. |

I've used Tom's deodorants and like them, but I've since switched to Weleda because I LOVE the scent of the citrus and the sage. Fresh, clean, not perfumey.
I live in the Washington, DC, area, where the summers are hot and very humid, so perspiration/wetness remains a bit of a problem. I mostly deal with it by wearing natural, quick-drying fabrics outside in summer time. The thing I've noticed is that since I've switched to all-natural deodorants, I don't get any discoloration when I do perspire. (The fabric gets wet, but it dries without leaving a mark of any kind.) |

I have been using Tom's of Maine for about 3 years now and so far have used the Calendula which I like best and the Rambling Rose.
Excellent value for money |

Rosebud, how would you describe the Rambling Rose scent? I'd love something with the wild rose scent (kind of light and spicy).
Thanks! |

It's very nice, quite light and musky, not at all overpowering and it is not and old Rose scent if that makes sense. |

That does make sense, and it sounds lovely! Thank you! |

I really wish they made an antiperspirant without aluminum. I have to use the extra strong stuff (Certain Dri) most of the time.
Stupid hyperhydrosis
My husband doesn't have to use an antiperspirant because he never sweats under his arms, so he just uses deodorant...meanwhile, I'm a puddle by noon if I forget to put something on...oy vey. |
