I am contemplating adding Kinerase to my skincare regimin, but I am not sure if it would be redundant or not and would like your advice. I am currently only using it on my neck, morning and night. This is my current facial routine...

Morning
Cellex-C Betaplex Foaming Cleanser
SC Serum 20
SC Eye Gel
SC B5 Gel
SC Phyto +
Shiseido Extra Smooth SPF 30

Night
Cellex-C Betaplex Foaming Cleanser
Cellex-C Betaplex Line Smoother Alternating nights with Retin-A Micro

SC Phyto +
Cellex-C New Complexion Cream

I was thinking of using the Kinerase on the nights that I use Retin-A as a treatment/moisterizer. I am not using the Cellex-C cream on the Retin-A night, as it has AHAs which should not be used in conjunction with Retin-A. Does this make sense? Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Liz

This would be an ideal product for you, as you're using the Retin-A at nighttime. The exfoliating moisturizer that you're using at night may irritate the skin too much, as the retinol is already exfoliating, and you may be compromising the skin's moisture barrier! Kinerase does not exfoliate, but rather promotes cellular division beneath the skin, repairing and preventing further damage to the skin. You may use this during the day too, but as there is no SPF contained in the product, please use a separate sunblock. Cool

I really wasn't too sure about it. So I will alternate the Retin-A/Kinerase combo and the Line Smoother/Complexion Cream combo. I do wear a seperate sunscreen everyday. I recently switched to Shiseido Extra Smooth SPF 33 and I LOVE it. (I just did a review on it on the other forum).

Thanks again for the help.

I heard from Kinerase that you are NOT suppose to use Kinerase if you are using Retin-A.

Go to skincare-md.com and read the newsletters on the subject. He will tell how to incorperate it into your routine.

If your using Retin-A you shouldn't use KinErase. It's a good moisturizer but if you have dry skin it won't moisturize too well. I've used Retin-A and KinErase at the same time before, so I've experienced it...if your looking for a moisturizer you should get something that moisturizes better than KinErase.

I don't think you should use Kinerase and Retin-A together either. The combination is too drying and irritating. Does Kinerase actually do anything for anyone? It didn't do anything for my skin.
