I was going to place an order of Candy's DMAE serum to try (the sample size), but I was faced with a decision to make - 4% or 6%. What should i buy? Hmmm...I tried to search to see if this was already discussed, but I couldn't find a discussion. Maybe I was not good at it? Anyway, I did not want to spend the rest of the night searching, so I am taking the lazy way out and post this question. Hopefully I can get a quick reply, so I can finish placing my order. Thanks so much!

I forgot to mention that I have not used any other DMAE serum before, so I don't know if I could start with 6% right away, or would that be too strong.

Also I'd appreciate any help on whether I should apply the DMAE serum first or the Triple C serum first.

I think most people who haven't tried DMAE before would probably be better off using the lower concentration at first, to see whether their skin is okay with it. You can also buy samples of either the 4% or 6% from Candessence to see how you get on with them, if you'd prefer.

Otherwise, maybe contact Candy with details about your skin type (whether it's sensitive, dry, oily, etc) and ask for her guidance.

I see on your description of urself, you have sensitive skin, so I'd start with the 4% then you can move up if you experience no prob. I started at 6% but have extremely NON sensitive skin, I've had no probs at all.

I agree with Melissa...if your skin is sensitive, best to start with 4%. I don't have sensitive skin either, but I still used 4% first and have since moved on to 6%...zero problems with either!

Someone from makeupalley says it also works effectively on dark circles. Is it true?

Not having dark circles I am clueless to that answer, although I don't think I've ever heard it does or will.

Not on mine, but I use it for firming, so it is OK with me.

I plan to use my DMAE around my eyes, too. I just ordered DMAE 4%, Ultra Triple C, and HA serums from Candy. I can't wait to get them. Smile

Look at the other thread. I'm so astonished now.

It hasn't made any difference to my dark circles, but is fab for firming, for which I use it.

Hi Jacque,
I asked Candy about this, and she did not know why DMAE would have done that. She thought it might be an allergic reaction.

Oh, I see! Thank you all! You are so nice!
My current problem is dark circles, so maybe try it a few years later.
