What are you supposed to use after applying Retin A and/or CP to help push it deeper into the skin?
Exfoliants, oil or can I also use a moisturizing creme like CeraVe? Are they working different?
Is this pushing in action always desired for better efficiancy? Any side effects?
Is there a wait time after the Retin A and/or CPif you DONT want the pushing effect before you layer an oil or moisturizer? |

i know that Dr. Pickart recommends applying emu oil to "push" cps further into the skin. alternatively, you can apply emu oil first and then cp products to "dilute" some of the effects of cp products. if you want to apply the cp product first, i don't know how long you have to wait to avoid the "pushing in" effect. maybe Tangal or someone else knows? |

I replyed on her other post, but not all oils or exfoliants push.
Only products that penitrate into the skin oils, and penitrate into the pores. So Emu oil, or a BHA lotion or cream can push other activites deeper if the pH and formulation are proper.
Emu and BHA have other attributes also, so depending on what you need as far as skin healing, moisterizing, etc, would dicate which you use. And some people fine one or the other suits them better. |
