Hi everyone,
I did a vitacost order yesterday and found that the 5% discount code I was able to use 6 months ago still worked!! The code is no longer listed on the websites like "naughty codes" so I thought I would pass it on to everyone here.
CODE: WZ56ACB
(gets you 5% off product price at checkout) |

OK, now here is why I Vitacost.com (aside from the great pricing and good customer service)... I placed my order at 2am Japan time and when I checked email upon waking at 8.30 am I already had the "package shipped" mail from them! They ship by courier, so by tomorrow morning I will probably have it! |

FYI - the current code (at least for November) is WE21A6. Nice to know that you can keep using them even after they supposedly 'expire'. |

i can't stand Vitacost. They only use UPS to ship internationally and the customs charges added to that are astronomical. I used them once and the shipping and customs to Canada made my order 3 times the value of the product ordered. Unless they decide to change their shipping policies i won't use them again. I e-mailed them and they never even sent an automated response....very rude i thought. |

Good to know Rosyface. As a fellow Canadian we have to do double the research into these websites in order to learn how hard hit we could be with shipping, customs and duty charges. Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. |

Wow, I am so surpized about not getting a response, as I have always had awesome CS from Vitacost. Once one of my bottles of CoQ10 was missing its label and I emailed and within 48 hours had a replacement on my doorstep.
yes, it is a shame they only ship UPS, because I too have to pay customs, but here in Japan it is not too bad (tax was bout US$12 and some other fee $4 on an order worth $162 before discount)
This time I had some very heavy items in the order, so the UPS shipping cost me $37, but you know, it still works out a gazillion dollars cheaper than buying the stuff in Japan. I had 10 bottles of vitamins etc (mostly NSI, but some Dr. Weil), 5 bottles of shampoos/conditioners/carrier oil and a huge 2lb jar of unflavored whey protein. |

I've only made one order from Vitacost but was quite impressed - got to me in less than a week.
I'm in Hong Kong and don't know what the words "customs" or "sales tax" mean ducking for cover...
And...I made an order from another site recently and they shipped it to me. Then 10 days later I received the same package again! (only charged my card once) I emailed to notify them and have had no reply. Guess I'll just have to keep it then |

I had never heard of them until I saw this post. The prices on several things I was about to order from other sources are much better at vitacost, even better with the 5% discount. Thanks for the info! |

yes, it seems that Vitacost and many other American companies "stick it" to Canadians only. I've seen that phenomenon happen with many other companies as well. Iy you happen to live outside of North America, you will have less problems but we're only their next door neighbour so they don't seem to care whether they get our business or not...
I'm not bitter...just frustrated. |

grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
That outrageous gouging by UPS has pissed me off so much that I will NEVER order from a vendor that won't just ship regular mail no matter how much I like the product. The last time they showed up at my door I refused the delivery and got my money back...never again!
No idea how they get away with that ridiculous brokerage handling crap! |

I keep ordering from vitacost because of their great prices. I can go through ebates.com and use the 5% code floating around on the net.
However I have emailed cs a few times with questions and never got a reply. That is not very nice |

I realized I forgot to check the booklet that came with my last order for any other coupons/codes. ooops.
But I am glad that the codes are helping a lot of other members get that bit of discount! Seems they have a lot of customers here on EDS! |
