A lot of people talk about using only organic skin care products here. I'm totally into that. Although I need to find one with an acid in it for my body. I have these red dots/bumps all over my legs that I want to clear up. I've had them for so long now and they have just gotten worse since I've stayed out of the sun. However I just cannot bring myself to wear shorts, skirts or dresses anymore. Anything that would show my legs because they are so ugly to me. I don't know if it is KP, but probably not because everything on that says it occurs on the arms or upper thighs etc. And this is only on my legs from my ankles up to just above my knees. I heard acid exfoliators help with KP though, so worth a try.

Are there any organic lotions with that, or is it pretty easy to make your own? Anything else that might help? Thanks.

I use lemon juice and white sugar, it works really well, its almost scary!

1 large whole lemon
1 cup white sugar
small bowl or jar
this will make enough for several applications, store in fridge.

Roll the lemon before you cut it to break up the fibers and get the juice flowing.

Cut and squeeze all the juice out thru a strainer to catch the pulp and seeds.

Put the juice into the bowl or jar, stir in about half of your sugar. stir until most of the sugar is dissolved.

Spread the mix(should be runny)onto the areas you want to exfoliate and lighten. I leave it on for about 5 mins, adding more mix every 30 seconds or so until it becomes sticky or starts to dry.

Put some remaining sugar to your hand and add a bit of water, use this sugar to gently exfoliate the lemon juice off.

Rinse well with water.

Apply a good moisturizer while skin is still WET.

Doing this makes my sun spots lighter and my skin is butter soft. I also use it on my face. It is messy so I make sure to do it in the shower/tub. But its cheap, organic and very effective!

As for an organic body lotion that already contains is....I dunno, cant find one either. I suppose you could buy an organic lotion and add GA to it...

Kiss My Face has a few that I like. One is called Alpha and Aloe Oil-free Moisturizer. It comes in vanilla or unscented and is 5% AHA. The other is called something like Peaches and Cream Moisturizer, it's peach-scented (really yummy!), and is 4% AHA. Both are affordable too--- less than $10 for a big bottle, and you can get them at Whole Foods or drugstore.com.

Thanks. That's good to hear it works so well for you. I wonder how strong of an acid lemon juice is compared to 10% AHA's. I am a bit nervous about using sugar as a body scrub after what happened to me last time I did. I have no idea why it happened, but I got these little bumps on my stomach. I'll try it just on my legs.

I'll probably have to just buy some seperately and mix it in, cause I need at least 10-12% for the body. Zenbiotic has one but it's for the face and doesn't say what the concentration of it is, so it's probably mild. Also would be expensive to use on the body at only 2oz. They do say that it contains "chemical-free Glycolic acid polymer" and claims that it is natural as opposed to synthetic ones. http://www.zenbiotic.com/FIRMING%20&%20ANTI%20WRINKLE.htm#I&I%20Glyco I don't really understand that. Isn't an acid a chemical, and aren't they all isolated/synthethic or are there different types? What is the best place to buy it as an ingredient? Thanks.
