I am a 25+ yo african american women, and since my high school/teen years, I have struggled with painful blemishes and acne that errupts on my nose! When I treat my breakouts (which come about before I start my cycle and any other time) with OTC meds like oxy or clearasil the blemishes are reduced in size but NEVER go completely away! So over the years, I have developed left over pimples, many of which get inflammed again at a later time, but no dark marks. I would give anything to have a smooth/ pimple free nose. I once saw a segment on the local news, that showcased a caucasian man with the same problem as me, but he got some kind of laser surgery for it. It looked great. But I can not afford an expensive laser surgery. If anyone else has dealt with this or knows sumthing that can HELP me, I would greatly appreciate it. This has had a great impact on my self esteem and I would welcome any suggestions.
Thanks |

Have you tried other (stronger) clearing products other than the oxy/clearasil stuff? Personally I have never found Clearasil very effective. I have never experienced anything like what you have described but I wonder if you have given MD Forumlations stuff a go? Particularily their Clearing Complex line which is great at clearing even the deep painful pimples. If you do a search (up the top on the right) for "clearing complex" I'm sure you'll find some past reviews of it. Have a look and see if it sounds like something that you might want to try. Much cheaper than surgery, and also less painful.
All the best!
