I use jojoba and rosehip oil 1:1 with 2-3 drops of rose essential oil for the 30ml. I put it all over my face, let it sink in for a few minutes then, then I put Cellcosmet Eye cream and regular moisturizer. It helps to keep my skin well moisturized during a winter. For the summer I use this mixture of oils, but not everyday and mainly at night.
Let me know, please, if there are other types of oils that could be used for the eye area.

Try Camellia oil. It is easily absorbed by the skin and not greasy at all.

I use Candessence "Eye'll be seeing you" eye oil. I use it at night before I go to bed and my eyes look great the next morning.

It's fabulous! Ingredients: Golden Jojoba Oil, Avocado Oil, Rosehip Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Tocopherol (Plant-based Vitamin E), Lavender Oil, Neroli Oil, Jasmin Absolute, Rosewood Oil, Orange Oil & Ylang Ylang Oil (Essential Oils), Rosemary Extract.

Emu Oil could be used around the eyes.

Hi ParisTroika, Do you get any stinging at all from using all those essential oils close to the eye?

In the morning I quite often use PSF's ALA complex it is quite moisturising and absorbs quickly - its a bit lighter than rosehip oil.

At night I often use Emu oil to push actives and for extra hydration.

This is the next eye product I will be trying just as soon as I use some of the products I currently have! Smile

I was looking at this in her Dec. special - it's seems to be almost an exact replica of Burt's Bees Repair Serum:

Rosehip seed oil, jojoba oil, lavender oil, tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E), evening primrose oil, borage seed oil, wheat germ oil, hazelnut oil, neroli oil, rose oil, calendula extract, green tea extract, beta carotene, tocopherol, ascorbyl palmitate (vitamin C), retinyl palmitate (vitamin A).

I use the Repair Serum under my eyes everyday, found it the best for keeping my concealer from getting "crinkly". Also use it on my 11's and dry, irritated spots and it is wonderful for that as well. Haven't noticed a reduction in wrinkles under my eyes but have noticed a difference in the depth of my 11's. Who knows maybe my eyes would be worse if I didn't use it... just turned 47 so signs of age are creeping up quickly.

I tried Burt's Bees Repair Serum and boy, did it sting my eyes!

I was also lemming Candessence "Eye'll be seeing you" eye oil, but does it also sting?

Also, how quickly does it gets absorbed?

Currently, I am using Emu (or combo Emu + Jojoba + Raspb. seed oil + hazelnut).

I've been finding it in a few Toronto health food stores but it takes a bit of searching... usually in very small bottles.

I have had no stinging whatsoever with Candessence. Smile

Evening Primrose oil or a blend of Evening Primrose with Rosehip oil would be great for the eye area as well. In terms of Essential Oils I would keep these to a minimum. You only really need 1 - 2 drops of Rose EO to a 30 ml bottle of base as Rose is extremely potent and a little goes a long way. For a selection of other oils you may want to try a drop of sandalwood or rosewood mixed in with the rose. For the entire face area I would add in a drop or 2 of neroli as well.

That's good - I'm always wary of putting potential irritants close to the eyes as mine are pretty sensitive from wearing contacts all the time.

I wear contacts and I use squalane without a problem. I apply it to the orbital bone area, and not above so that it will not migrate too far and end up in my eyes. Wink

Take care.
Bosoxy.

Burt's Bees has never stung my eyes and sometimes I slather it on - only under eyes though.

Yes, Camelia oil is not greasy. Although I don't use it for eye area I use it for my face and body: mix Camelia and Jojoba oils (50:50) and add a few drops of your faivorite essential oil.
I finished all my exams and I'm using winter break to make some money Laughing. I start to work at the office where environment is not good for any types of skin, especially sensitive. There is dust everywhere, the air is dry and horrible. So, I use this mix of oils to calm my skin. This is the only thing that makes my sensitive skin feel better.

I have used many oils around the eyes including rosehip oil, avocado, Burt bees repair oil, emu oil. Providing I dont go to close to the eye I never had a problem, and it works a treat under my Cellcosmet eye cream or what ever I happen to be using at the time
