| My skin's been really dry lately and although I do moisturize my eye areas well, concealor seems to crease and turn powdery. I'm currently using MAC Concealor and it's just too drying for me. Can anyone recommend a moisturizing concealor that doesn't crease? Thanks! |

The concealer from Amazing Cosmetics (you can buy it here at EDS) is phenomenal. The longest wearing, non-drying concealer I have ever tried -would never be without it. You might also try a mineral powder make-up to conceal - just make sure you have a good quality brush and also make sure that you are comfortable with the texture/moisture level around your eye area before using mineral powder to conceal because(IMHO)even though it won't crease, if the eye area is dehydrated it tends to look a bit dry.....But if you are looking for a top notch concealer I swear by the one made by amazing cosmetics. It is well worth the money....you need a miniscule amount and the tube lasts what seems like forever!

HI Pudoodles-
This sounds interesting. I had given up wearing concealer ( even though i need it for dark circles) because of the cakey factor. Do you know if you can wear powder or mineral make-up over it? |

Hello 
You sure can use powder or mineral powder over it - no problems...I use the Laura Mercier secret brightening powder over it and the results are great! FYI - I was using MAC concealer before I started on the Amazing Cosmetics concealer - the AC concealer (IMHO) WAY outperforms the MAC which I, too, find a tad drying.

The concealor does sound good. I've read about it on another thread (I know I posted this thread without looking it up before!!! i'm so sorry!!!) and it seems to get pretty good reviews. And cakey...that's the word! I didn't know where I got powdery from! Please excuse my poor English as it's not my first language. Anyway, I just checked out the color options from Amazing Cosmetics and there aren't that many. I'm not sure I'll be able to find a perfect shade for my skin tone. I should probably email the company and ask them. Anyway, thanks for the recommendation! |

| This concealer sounds great, but lanolin is listed in the ingredients and I usually can't use products with lanolin. Has anyone with sensitive skin used this product without any problems?? I'm also in the market for a great concealer that doesn't cake! Thanks! |

hi lynn,
i have tried alot of concealors and agree that even the best of them that are liquid based can look creasy. i do not use MMU on my face but recently tried a sample of Everyday Minerals concealor and it is the best I have tried. It is a powder but one sweep under the eyes and circles are gone. It looks so natural and does not settle into lines or tug the eye area?. Maybe try a sample? it is available from everydayminerals. com
Do note i use this mainly for under eyes.
I am now tempted to have a look at amazing concealor too thanks to Puddoodles! |

Thanks for the recommendation. I've been thinking about MMU but I've never used any before and I'm not very good with applying loose powder, so I'm still indecisive. I'd like to order samples of so many products, but international shipping often ends up costing more than the product itself, so I never do. However, I'll certainly check out Everyday Minerals. |

| Guerlain's Precious light is wonderful for undereye circles and it never creases except for days when I'm especially dry and haven't had any sleep the night before. Other than that, it's perfect and beats YSL touche eclat any time. Amazing concealer wears like iron though it will at times settle into fine lines. Also, I'm very sad that they've changed the Ultra-light shade to an odd light peach where before it was a really pale neutral (back in the day when the tube was white not black like it is now.) |

| I'd suggest Dr Hauschka's cover stick or cream concealer. They both blend really well when applied and never crease or dry out. And the great ingredients help improve tone and texture and reduce redness and the look of blemishes too. The cover stick is definitely my top pick. |

Fenn can you please give more info. on Gurlain one if possible. I have been looking at it for a few months now, tempted to buy it but haven't, the Gurlain girls keeps telling me its fab, but having bought 95% of my Christmas prezzies, don't want to spend the remaining (sob) money on a new product I am not 100% sure about.
Is it really much better than touch eclat ? if so ....I will go and get it, I want something new for under the eyes...my main concerns with Gurlain is, is the product fragranced or not, is there a lot of petroleum in it...? |

I'm dry and find the following concealers to be moisturizing and make my underye area look better not worse!
Jane Iredale Circle Delete (jojoba, sunflower and avocado oil)
Laura Mercier Secret Concealer (not camoflague) has petrolatum and vit e
Vincent Longo Creme (in the little pot) has castor oil.

| Cle de Peau concealer is my HG. Beautiful coverage, never creases, never gets dry and cakey. I believe the first ingredient is squalane - good to keep the area moisturised. |

It's really silly how they have such a limited colour range. The colours are wayyy to pink/orange for my skin tone. I have a yellow based skin tone.
I find Cle De Peau to be drying.
My favourite is Jane Iredale Circle Delete. |

Thanks guys! I have a yellow base understone (I'm Asian) which makes it harder to find a perfect shade as many brands don't have a lot of color options. 
YSL Touche Eclait - used it before, but couldn't find the right shade. it's either one shade too light, or one shade too dark. plus i found that it ran as well.
Amazing Cosmetics - sounds really interesting, but all their shades are pink undertones
Cle de Peau - again not many color options, but a lot of reviewers on MUA say it's drying. can't seem to make up my mind as there are lots of both positive and negative results.
Dr. Hauschka - again not many color options!  although I'd love to try it as I kinda wanna start using more organic natural products.
Jane Iredale - seems to have a lot of fans here and get pretty good reviews and I guess I could use their #1 as it's yellow tone. I could probably mix the 2 shades to get the shade I want. however, is it in a powder rather than liquid or cream? I'm just not very convinced that powder concealor will give me a good coverage.
Laura Mercier - I'll drop by their counter and have a look later today.
Guerlain - I'm not really a fan of this brand. Used some of their makeups before and they all irritated my skin.
Gosh, I just don't know which one to go for. Thing is most of these brands aren't available here except Guerlain, Laura Mercier, Cle de Peau, and Chanel. And it's soooooo hard to even get the SAs to try out the makeup for you. Lots of them even ask you before whether you're definitely gonna buy their products for sure. If you're not sure, they won't even let you try it out! How rude! |

| When Im looking a little tied I use Dior Skinflash concealer. I nice and light and provides with me enough coverage without look caked on. |

| Well if you can't use Dr H then my second recommendatinon would be Jane Iredale. I use their pencils, shadows, glosses and brushes (so far) and have been really impressed with the line. Plus they use all natural and superior ingredients. There are lots of raves about the line here so you may want to read up on them. |

| naomin, Guerlain's precious light goes on so much more smoothly than the touche eclat ever did. Also the lightest shade is neutral so would suit most skin tones. I don't notice any discernable scent but I do in general like guerlain's rose scent in their creams so perhaps it doesn't bother me much. And the best part is that I only need to use a little for it to cover my red/brown undereye circles. My last tube lasted me about 10 months with daily use. I'm asian and pale with yellow undertones and really find that this is one of my HG concealers, because of it's non-caking factor. Hth! |

| I like the Clede peau in "ocre" for the summer. I have yellow undertones and also find it hard when it comes to getting the right color coverage. I have extreme dark circles and need a very heavy coverage. Most of the other concealers I have tried make me look like I have tons of wrinkles because of the amount I put on. I have recently purchased Prescriptives flawless skin concealer. This has worked great, also has spf 25! |
