I have been using this for a month on a daily basis so I think it is sufficient time to write a review .
Summary: Silicone-based Vit C gel. Saw results in a fortnight. Skin more even toned, freckle-like pigmentation reduced. Did not cause breakouts.
My skin: Never used Vit C before. Dry with freckle-like pigmentation and redness around cheek area.
Container: A supposed air-tight pump container. 1 ounce
Ingredient list: cyclomethicone, dimethicone crosspolymer, propylene glycol, sorbitan olivate, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) oil, vilis vinifera (grapeseed) oil, phenoxyethanol, polysorbate 80, citrus grandis (grapefruit) peel oil, anthemis nobilis flower oil, geranium maculatum oil, zinglber officinale (ginger) root oil, PVP, aqua (water), phospholipids, tocopheryl acetate, ascorbyl palmitate.
Texture: It is a whitish gel.
Test: I did a half-half test for two weeks, putting it on my more freckled side of the face. I used less than one pump and then waited approx 10 mins before putting on my emu oil.
Results: I did the half-half test for two weeks only because by the end of the 2 weeks, I could see results. My skin was just as dry (unfortunately) but the pigmentation had lightened and the skin receiving the gel just looked more even in colour.
It did not cause new breakout but it didn't stop it either.
I don't know if I would buy it again since it is so full of silicone. However, it does definitely work. |
