I hope that when I'm 39 people will tell me that my skin is very good! I really think that the best thing you can do is take good care of skin (which you obviously do), use sunblock, drink plenty of water, don't smoke and have a healthy diet. If we do all those things then the rest is probably up to genetics - and that's something we don't have a say in |

I hope I will get the similar compliments when I am 39 too How wonderful it would be!!!!! This is going to prove that what I have been investing so far actually means sth !
Guess the genetics plays a big big role here! I know some people who seriously take care of their skin (at least that I know of) .. however, they cant beat the natural aging!! Who knows?? |

I'm 38, and have really good skin too. Mostly it's genetic, but the past few years I've really started to take care of it, and the past 10 months or so I've been drinking a ton of water which really helps too.
I think alot of it does depend on your genes, but the younger you are when you start taking good care of your skin can keep it looking great for a really long time. I"m hoping I'll make it into my 50's with decent skin. |

When I have kids, if I have a daughter, I wish I could think of something, anything, to convince her to NOT get a tan every summer. I was SO obsessed with it - still am - but thank God now you don't have to lay in a tanning bed or under the sun. I can remember mixing together iodine and baby oil (don't ask me why - we heard it worked) and laying on tin foil!!! I had my first bad burn (with bubbles) on my nose by the time I was 7.
And - this is the kicker - my family has amazing genes - but at 34, I can definitely see the effects the sun had on my skin - the spots and early wrinkling. Meanwhile, my grandmother, who never let the sun hit the skin on her face a day in her life, died at 94 with the most beautiful, smooth skin you've ever seen! She had wrinkles around her eyes and a few around her mouth but that's it. I'm going to look like a raisin if I live to be 94!!
