Comedogel is a product that is targeted to be used as a spot treatment over affected areas of your skin. I'm not quite sure exactly which Paula's Choice and Neutrogena products you are trying to compare this to.

Either way, there are many products on the market that do the same job - it's just a matter of finding one that works best in your case (you may get different results from Paula's Choice than I would for example).

Btw, now that we are on the topic of Paula's Choice. Have you tried her products? If so then what are your thoughts on them?

Ta,

So sorry, I should have been more specific. I was referring to the PC and Neutrogena 2% BHA products that many people recommend for clogged pores and blackheads. I have used them both to partial satisfaction; they seem to work the same for me. I am wondering whether the Comedogel would be even better. It seems to get good reviews here but I was wondering if it is superior to the PC and Neutrogena in terms of clogged pores and blackheads. I wouldn't want to pay so much for it if it is not significantly better.

I used PC's age spot stuff (sorry I can never remember names) and it did some good--it's at 2% strength and I should get something stronger from a dermatologist.

I just started a trial of Green Cream and Afirm3x, two 6% retinoid products. I'm putting GC on one side of my face and Afirm on the other for a comparison. I'm using these for lines and age spots, but it will be interesting to see if they have any effect on the clogged pores.

Hope this helps.

I have Paula's Choice 2% BHA, not a bad product ..... but I dont have anything to which it compares .. I once used the Neotrogena, not exactly the BHA, I think should be the AHA, didnt like it, it just broke me badly, no idea, I have switched to MDF now, with satisfaction, but still, I cannot use it too frequently, somehow, I am reacting to the AHA, I experience burning sensation on my face .. I dont know, maybe this is the AHA working!

Pasdetrois - sorry, I was hoping that maybe I've used some of the products you are using but I haven't so I can't quite comment here unfortunately. See if you can get a sample of it from EDS before purchasing. I'm not sure if they have samples of the Comedogel but it doesn't hurt to ask Smile

Bbiz - I did experience a slight stinging sensation on my skin when I started using Glycolic Acid - but only on the first few times I used it. It still kills nowadays if I actually put it on a pimple that I sqeezed out but I don't feel a thing when I use it on "normal" skin. Just be careful, some people's skin is too sensitive to use AHAs in high quantities.
