I'm having a hard time deciding which lip balm color to order from Carekate. I've read a few posts on the colors but am not sure b/c the people that posted their reviews had different skin tones etc than me.
What would you recommend for me if I want my lips to look natural but have a little color?
Also, does anyone have the latest listing of all of her colors?
Thanks! |

Hi Amnis! I've got "honey rose" and "coral kiss." They are both nice, but they're a little on the bright side for me. I'm hoping to try Apricot Glow next, and I believe carekate is also working on some more neutral colors for gals like me.^-^ |

Hey there
Now see, this is where I get confused about the colors...I've heard that "apricot glow" is actually brighter than "coral kiss". I guess it all depends upon your skin tones though, right?
Have you heard of a new shade called "blushing nude"? I'm thinking that might be something along the lines of what I may be looking for.
And, have you heard anything about her having a shade called "YLBB"? I wasn't clear on whether that was one of hers or not...
I emailed Carrie so hopefully (when she gets her limited computer time- and I don't know how she does what she does in that limited amount of time) she will let me know. |

I got Dolce Vita - while I loved the consistency it wasn't the right colour for me. The friends I gave them to looked wonderful in it though.
I really like Blushing Nude - very similar to MAC's Viva Glam V (just not as sparkly). |

I have Dolce Vita and Coral Kiss. Coral Kiss is nice but a little too bright for me. Dolce Vita is perfect! I really love it, it looks very natural on my lips. |

They have cooler skin tones and a darker complexion - just a few shades (I'm Stila 20 watts so I'm quite light) but that seemed to make all the difference. |

I have very light skin with pink undertones and brown hair. |

It looks like the Dolce Vita is better suited for cooler tones meaning it's out for me. Thanks for helping me rule this one out. |

I have just placed an order with Carekate for the honey rose. I am getting worried now because I do not like bright. I thought this was a more "neutral" color? |

rileygirl, what's your coloring? I gather that depending upon your skintone etc it may or may not be neutral on you. |

ooh, hey! Can I jump in here and say that I too am wanting to order some of these lip balms and dont know what colours too ask for!
I'm fairly light golden neutral skintone, brown eyes, blonde + brown hair.
I love mauves and warm browns and red, not really so much pink and never coral.
My lips are naturally very pale.
I'd love some pointers from those of you that have these lipbalms already.
TIA! |

I agree catski! BTW, if anyone knows, I placed my order with Carekate at her new email address over the weekend. I know she has very limited access with the computer/internet, but I have not got a "bill" to pay. Just curious how long it usually takes to get a bill (I did include my PP account and also put order in the title line). Thanks in advance to anyone who knows! |

Hey I am kinda in your range, and I tried Dolce Vita and Coral Kiss (if I remember correctly).
For day-to-day I prefer the Coral. It is a light tint and it just looked great on my lips.
Dolce Vita is too dark/reddish for my lips if I am wearing no makeup. But if you do a cats eye, or just some sorta makeup it works great as a lipstick. Seriously, CareKate's stuff is pigmented. |

I received a sample of her lip balm and was thinking of ordering another, but am I reading this right? 2 weeks before you even got a paypal notice or invoice? Yikes, how long before you got the product? Not sure I am willing to wait 3 weeks for lipgloss! |

It took so long because there was a major snow storm and the city was paralyzed. Also, after that CareKate had a cluster migraine which lasted a few days.
After the payment, the product arrived in two days. |

Thanks Doba, glad to hear its not norm for it to take 3 weeks, I was thinking ewww to ordering!! I live in Houston, the ice storm (we all wish it had been snow, unless you lived in the Hill Country then they wished it hadn't been snow), lasted 2 days in Austin (Niece goes to school there), so everyone got a day off and she was very happy girl to miss a day of school!!! |
