I have this in Black and have been using it for the past month now, I will be trying the other colours for sure.
It promises Volume, Length, Curl and Separation.
I have really fallen in love with this mascara, even my SO comments on my lashes when I am wearing it.
The Inimitable makes my lashes a lovely silky, intense black shade and yes it does add a lot of length. They do curl upwards when I apply. Not too sure if it delivers on seperation, but that does not bother me as I always use a seperation wand.
The wand itself is rubber and at first I did have to wipe off the excess mascara before using to prevent clumps, I do this with all my mascaras.
Ultimatly this is my favorite mascara for when I am dressed up at night, better than fake eye lashes. |

How does this compare to DiorShow or YSL? |

I really love this mascara. I am not even sure if it is better then the famous Lancome Defincils, maybe equal.
The seperation of the lashes, evenly applied with the colour and easy to get each strand. I really love it. I can't tell you if it makes your lashes longer because mine are quite long to begin with but they are noticable when I wear this mascara and Lancome Defencils. My lashes are very pale so wearing mascara makes a big difference on me. |

I love this mascara too. It really provides a a lot of volume and definition to lashes without any clumping or flaking.
I have a lot of lashes so finding a volumizing mascara that doesn't make them all clump together is sometimes difficult. So far this one outperforms any I've tried.
My lashes are also fairly long, so I really can't say whether it is a good lengthening mascara or not.
I used to use Lancome Definicils and thought that performed very well too, but did not like how quickly it dried out and needed to be replaced. I'm hoping the Chanel mascara lasts longer.
I would definitely recommend getting a sample of this at the Chanel counter. |

You made a really good point with respect to Lancome Definicils drying out. Overall, I found that it lasted three months. But then, I was not wearing it on the weekends. But when I did, I think it almost made the three month mark.
I really can't remember how long Chanel mascara lasted.
Rjez, to compare this to Dior Show, the wand is smaller and easier to reach the small fine strands of eye lashes. Dior Show is thicker then Chanel but right now I am using Chanel Cils A Cils and found it to be the same as Dior Show in all aspects. But I love Dior Show also. |

Since seeing your review I wanted to try it and had it on my list when I visited the Chanel counter yesterday. I forgot it though! I got too wrapped up in the skin care and concealer I bought. Since the nearest Chanel counter is over an hour away I guess I'll just order it from Gloss.
Thanks for the review though, because I had been wondering about it.
Wondering about the mascara base too. Anyone tried it?

No, I never used mascara base and don't have time for extra steps. |

I like this mascara too. It doesn't smudge and it gives volume. Mine is a sample btw. |

Has anyone tried any shades other than black in this Mascara? |

This is my favourite mascara at the moment. I purchased the full size after using a sample and I love it. Great for seperating lashes and adds volume without being too over the top. I wish it were waterproof though. |
