Hello everyone,
For my birthday, my little sis, who owns a salon, sent me a package full of her new favorite haircare line, the new "logics" by matrix hair care line for colored hair... it is apparently very expensive and according to my sis, extremely effective at producing glossy, shiny, bouncy hair. but i looked at the ingredients and it has both sls and a high % of cones... i need a support group! should I use it infrequently for the glossy hair look? should i just throw it away?
heeeeelllllppp!
fyi, i just recently clarified my hair and am extremely pleased with the results--i went from dry and unmanageable hair to clean, bouncy, shiny hair in a matter of a couple of days. But I am having a bday party tomorrow night and I want my hair to look extra gorgeous...

I would give it a try. If your hair looks better than use it occasionally. If it doesn't then at least you know how to fix the problem and then don't use it. |

I gave up using 'cones in my hair products years ago and have had great results. Using a product with cones occasionally (a few times per month, not back-to-back days) doesn't hurt my hair at all, make it dull, or make me need to clarify. I know everyone gets different results, but I would think that if you don't overdo using them, or make sure you clarify at least once every 1-2 weeks if you do use them regularly, you should be fine. |

I'm sure your sister knows more about hair care then I do, but..... I've used Matrix, and never liked them. It seemed very average to me. I got loads in a gift bag once and ended up giving it away. And if I'm not mistaken, the average price is $12 - $15 USD. |

My hair is sooo damaged from shampoos that have cones and SLS. I don't even color my hair or anything. Cones make your hair look silky + feel soft. But by the end of the day, they're really damaging your hair. Like mine
But if it's an occasional kinda thing, I don't think it would hurt.. |

Tough one, Ava.......ahh I changed my mind! Not tough at all. Your current hair is already gorgeous. No need to be extra gorgeous and risk messing it up with the cones and SLS stuff. I am staying away from these things now. My hair has not been this soft in 10 years. I can't believe I always thought my hair was supposed to be hard. If I were you, I would not touch the Matrix stuff. Your sis is so sweet, but maybe you can give it back to her and let her sell it in her salon. |

Avalange, if you decide to try these products, I'd be interested to know if you were pleased with them.
For me, cutting out the cones and using ACV and aloe gel and coconut oil etc on my hair was a 'no going back' process.. I actually felt that ny hair was LESS glossy and nice, with the 'traditional' salon type products.
Anyhow, you will look gorgeous for the party, whatever!
Have fun! |
