I started using a 5% DMAE serum and it seems to be a bit irritating. Is this normal at first? Will skin get used to it? Should I use a lower strength to start? I feels a bit itchy/tingly for a few min. Sometimes, if I apply a little more maybe, my skin turns pinkish. |

It never happened to me like that. Mine is 4%. Which brand did you try? |

DMAE can be mildly irritating. Sounds like your level is a bit to high for your sensitivity level. |

Thanks - I made it myself Im going to dilute it to make it a 3% serum. I juat looked up the IFP site and she sells a 3%, 5%, 7.5% and 10% serum - looks I need to start with the lowest concentration. |

Sorry but I laughed out loud...
DMAE - is it normal to feel a bit itchy, kinda like w/AHA?
I thought it said 'bitchy' not itchy...
*still giggling*

I think its very normal Monica - I've tried so many versions now and they all have some negative effect and I'm not that sensitive. I think it can really duff up your skin barrier. I'm only using it for special occasions these days. |

My skin went all crinkley, red and funny using DMAE. They were excellent at PSF and refunded me as my skin obviously wasn't keen on it. |
