Hi
I was suckered into buying the QVCUK TSV and have just received an Alpha H kit with 6 items in. The range is new to me, so has anyone used them before and what results did you have?
TIA

I haven't actually used them but I noticed today that the beauty salon where I have my hair done is using them. I have had a look at their website and the products are interesting so I might get some samples. I will let you know my thoughts on the samples. |

I'll do a review then.
I've been using them for 3 days and so far, I'm impressed. I've got a triple action cleanser with aloe vera, which is great at removing makeup. I thought it was a glycolic cleanser but there's no mention of that in the ingredients on the back. They have also just launched 'Resurface', dual effect peeling pads, which you use for 3 nights a week. My skin feels smoother and looks clearer already. What I'm most impressed with is the 10% glycolic moisturiser with is fine for all skin types, non greasy and what I've found is that my makeup stays on all day, my skin does not get shiny and I don't have to keep touching up my makeup. I've stopped the rest of my skincare routine at the mo, just to concentrate on these products, because I've got them from QVC so have the 30 day money back guarantee, but so far, I don't think I'll be returning them. |

Sarahb, what products were in the kit and what skin type so they suit? |

It says they suit all skin types, three of the ones in the kit are listed above, the others are Absolute Eye Complex, which is a gel and leaves no stickyness, quite nice. The other is a 15% glycolic hydrating mask with lavender which I used for the first time last night, so can't really comment on that one yet and the last one is a Ultra Protector SPF 30 moisturiser which goes on shiny so you think it's going to be greasy, but it sinks in lovely and no greasiness. So far, I'm impressed. |

Sarahb, I was just going to ask the same. I saw these on QVC and thought they sounded interesting and then I came across the products in a store yesterday. My skin is sensitive to glycolc acid, but I am still tempted to try the Delicate kit and they had another kit with three serums; vitamin a, e and c which is what I have been looking for. Have you experienced any sensitivity or redness so far? The ingredients look great. |

Tingling and a bit of redness on the neck area, but that's to be expected with glycolic products. Other than that I've been fine and my skin can be quite sensitive too. |

I think I'm "too chicken" for this... |

I have used the following Alpha H products - the Triple Action Cleanser, Liquid Gold, the 15% glycolic hydrating mask, the purifying clay mask, Micro Cleanse and the Rejuvenating Cream.
I particularly liked the rejuvenating cream, both the masks and for deep "glycolic" cleanse Micro Cleanse. I found the Triple Action Cleanser a little drying in comparison to Akin's Rose and Geranium Cleanser but they are two totally different products. Liquid Gold contains alcohol but its a quite good product. Of all the Alpha H products that I have tried I would repurchase the Rejuvenating Cream and the hydrating mask.
Bushy and those in Australia that may be interested in Alpha H products you can purchase from tvsn.com.au |

My local John Lewis just started stocking these products, I was looking at them just the other day. I think they are supposed to be quite mild glycolic products, will be interested to see what you think when you've used them for a bit longer sarahb! |

What is the Liquid Gold and what difference did it make to your skin? |

Liquid Gold is a 10% glycolic solution with liquorice. Liquid Gold is marketed as a product that firms your skin over time and helps give you an even complexion, plus liquorice is added to aid lightening of skin. I used this product over a year ago, whilst I didn't notice any miraculous effects in that time in relation to firming eg an instant tightening effect like DMAE can give, my skin did improve in tone and texture - to be fair I think this is a product that you need to use for some time before commenting on its effectiveness for firming. When I applied it, I immediately felt a tingling effect as you would expect with a 10% glycolic and had no problems with adverse reactions. |
